I found the cheapest place for brake cleaner is Euro Car Parts, they have Triple QX TQX brake cleaner for £2.89 for a 600ml tin.

Those FTX nitros looks pretty fun. Seems to share lots of parts with HSP. Their pullstarters are extremely weak. Don't know how many I broke before giving up on them, looks the same as you snapped.

That engine came from a truck I got from the Netherlands. It didn’t come standard on the carnage though lol

Looking at the manual for the FTX it looks like you can take the four screws out and separate the exhaust into two parts. Clock it around 90 degrees and put it back together. Then the pressure pipe outlet will be on the top?
