I couldn’t swim during lockdown because of covid 19. My shoulders get stiff if I’m not moving. I was Furloughed from work because of the virus spread. so I picked up my sons nunchucks. Only training I got was you tube. Master Omid, Ken Hill and Sensi David. I’ve got enough info to keep me going. It’s good exercise. Been doing it several weeks now. Keep it up Brother 👍🏻🇬🇧

You rock dude!I am 54 years old and have been doing this and making that, and you have put it better together better than I ever dreamed of, plus you have moves I never did, or knew of ! This song I posted is definitely for you sir!! This song is what I have worked out to for the last 30 years, when I did nun chucks, and other moves, but I haven't done anything for the last ten years, you re-ignited my .... I don't know what what chi maybe? I am so glad your video was online. God bless you! I still have the first nunchacks I made, when I was 16, the chain is exactly 6 inches long. The sticks are made of oak and 12 inches long. My mom saved them when I went into the Navy and gave them back to me just recently, I pulled them out today, watching your video, it is like riding a bicycle, a bit rusty, but after a while an old friend. you have some tricks that I want to master. I have a red blood tattoo that was made by the chain under my left armpit, it never went away. I wear it proudly, no one knows where it came from. Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion

First picked up nunchaku when I was 5 and have been using them ever since.... but as a weapon. Never thought until about two years ago I could actually turn them into a performance art till I saw them spun at a festival. Thank you for being one of the few, if not the only, tutorial for this! Cheers!

I've always been into martial arts, like jayson, grew up on the tmnt, but ive never picked up chucks before in my life. I saw your vid by accident searching for some martial arts vids and thought man I wanna do that. I bought a pair of foam ones and haven't had them long and wanted to say just by watching your vids, I can do over shoulder passes, fig 8 wrist rolls, rips, front to front wrist rolls front to back wrist rolls. Just from watching these vids. Great teacher, super vids please keep them coming. So stoked to learn more. Yewwww!!!

I've been using nunchucks for just over a full day now. It took me about 10 minutes to effectively use the first wrist roll technique with my right hand (strong hand); I still haven't quite got it down for the left hand yet. These videos are pretty awesome, Ken. Great work breaking the moves down. I'll keep watching!

I can't thank you enough! I had a pair of nunchucks laying around for about 3 years but i never got to actually do something cool with them because there were just random tricks assorted in different pages and i was kinda scared (mine are oak with chain, so i felt intimidated). Just got about two weeks of watching your vids and i can do a figure 8 wrist rolls! You're the best! Probably i'm not within the first 100 spinners but i promise i'll practice a lot! Thank you for encouraging me to do something i've always wanted to do. =) Greetings from México!!

Thanks SO MUCH for the 3 stretches, Ken! Right forearm has been SORE for MONTHS, due to a weightlifting injury. I have been fighting carpal tunnel for some time with weight lifting & as soon as I did these three stretches, I felt TREMENDOUS relief throughout my wrists & especially in my right forearm! Thanks again! Any suggestions for fixing a heel spur, by-the-way? I'm already leaning forward against a wall with my leg & back straight, foot way back & flat to the floor. Any other ideas?

hey I've been using nunchucks for about a month now. I always hated them because I thought they were pretty much useless, but my brother bought a foam set and Now I've got 3 sets of my own and there's no looking back lol. I try to do a little combat and freestyle practice for about an hour each day. I can honestly say without your videos I probably would have lost interest awhile ago. I know this is an old one, and I've watched a ton of the new ones, but I figured I'd go back and start from the beginning. Id just like to say you can definitely count me into your 100 new spinners you were trying to create lol. I just got down figure 8 wristrolls so it's only up from here.

for all of you who have so many questions about what kind of nunchuks to use. for a beginner I suggest foam. other than that use what feels comfortable. wood metal rope chain it doesn't matter. whatever is comfortable. start with basic swings and passes then rolls and then release and catch. then put them together.

@allfortheebchildren6561
@allfortheebchildren6561 9 жыл бұрын
Yes just train it until it's like your right hand. My left hand is weak too. I can do some things like figure 8, t the knees around the neck, etc but I can't do figure 8 wrist rolls, or even break a blue board with it. My right hand is my powerhouse even though I'm left handed in everything but sports! Lol, but practice doing simple tricks with your left hand only with the right hand behind your back or guarding at your chest, and eventually it will get better. It's about the feeling of the technique and muscle memory! You'll get it, I have faith in you! 🙏🌅
