Күн бұрын🏜️Welcome to Season 7, "Slow Your Roll." Stan and Rhonda from Over The Hill Adventures take you on an exciting adventure to Page, Arizona home to Lake Powell and Horseshoe Bend. In this episode, Stan and Rhonda take you on a 11.2 mile bike ride around the city of Page atop the Rim Trail. This trail is an easy to moderate mountain bike (or hiking) trail with amazing views around every bend. A true gem and one of the best bike trails they have ever ridden. They also do a tour of a relatively new RV campground, Antelope Point RV Campground just minutes from the City of Page and a short bike ride to the public launch ramp of Lake Powell. Stan and Rhonda explore the iconic Horseshoe Bend which is one of the most photographed and recognized places in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. After a short hike, they get to the overlook and are met with a large crowd. A short hike to the right and up a few sandstone rocks, Stan and Rhonda find themselves all alone with breathtaking views. Come with Stan and Rhonda for another incredible season of fun and adventures.

Hi guys! Thanks for the preview of Antelope Point Campground and your ride around the Rim Trail. This is the same campground we planned to stay this past March when I planned to run a half marathon in Page and was forced to withdraw. The course uses the Rim Trail and I'm excited to give it a crack in March 2025 when my calf is healed. Thanks for a glimpse of the trail and amazing views I can expect. Bring on Season 7 and keep riding strong! 😃🚵

@@OverTheHillAdventures- hi guys! Be sure pack warm clothes as we had some chilly temperatures in mid-June and even saw snow flurries in Banff. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous and you'll be fine crossing the border! Thanks for asking about my running. Today was my first run in five weeks and I'm ecstatic! It's also day #15 since my stem cell treatment and my calf is feeling good after fourteen straight days of walking. His protocol required no strenuous workouts during that time to allow the stem cell graft to heal the calf muscle. I'm so ready to get back to training and will slowly ramp up my workouts. But...my first half marathon is at the end of September in New Hampshire (our eastern trip), so I'll have to be really careful with my training. Watching your Page video and seeing the Rim Trail got me excited about next year's March 7 race and I'm really thinking about running it. Take care of yourselves and keep riding strong! 😀😁🤗

Sometimes we get separated and now Stan doesn’t worry I’ve crashed 🤪 I had no idea houseboats could be so big, but I guess for that kind of money they should be. Yikes! Horseshoe Bend was a very moving place. 🙌 God is pretty awesome to create places like that we can enjoy and feel like we are in His presence. Just amazing! Thank you for hanging out with us! Lake Powell holds some of my best family memories. Houseboat with my cousins ( NOTHING LIKE THAT HOUSEBOAT!!!) My husband and I also paddled Antelope Canyon on a more recent trip. I’ll be curious to see if a tour boat comes into the canyon. (Maybe not enough water in the lake right now) Thanks for sharing

You go guys! That bike ride was pretty rad! Those cliffs though, not for me. 😮 Too bad about the pedal. Good thing there was somewhere to go to get it fixed. This is a beautiful area! We wonder what the weather would be like in the winter months? I said "Two Refrigerators?!!" simultaneously with you Rhonda 🤣 Yep, it was "fun to dream" Those were really amazing boats. Hi Michelle, Page is around 4,000 feet a little cool in the winter but perfect in the spring. In Lake Havasu the weather is perfect year round and extremely hot July and August. Just an hour and a half away is Quartszite. The mega snowbird spot of America. People like it not because it is beautiful but because it is free BLM camping. Some will stay there all winter long. I always say 1/2 America’s RVers go to Florida and the other half goes to Arizona for the winter. Thank you for joining us! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️

Hello Bishop George, our bikes have changed our lives. The e-mountain bikes. They are Class 1 pedal assist. You decide how much assistance you need. We will do long hikes but we can’t run anymore. These bikes allow us to be ultra active. We have seen more with our bike than we could ever imagine. May the good Lord continue to bless you and your wife with good health! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️

@OverTheHillAdventures Thank you sir, the wife and I are so busy with the church it's hard to get away like we want to and when we do get away we go somewhere and rest, but God is good we love the job of leading God people. This is why I love you guys KZfaq channel. We just got back from a week long getaway but as soon as we got back we have been running again. We might have a long cross-country trip coming up soon, my mother is 95 years old and not doing all that well, but she is in the hand of the Lord. I enjoy your video, be safe sir and take care of the little lady, lol.

@@bishopgeorge1333 you know when we were in ministry leading worship 4 services week, it almost cost us our marriage because I was also working as a deputy sheriff full time. What I’m am saying Bishop George, God truly wants us to have a balance. He created a day of rest for a reason. Rhonda and I minister to more people than we ever have. 15X greater than we did when we led worship. Even in retirement our only reason on this earth is to further the kingdom of God. He will give you the time to recreate or have recreation. We are not meant to stay in one place and that’s why Jesus gave us the Great Commission. So I say God willing will go across the country again in the Spring. God we will go to Canada. Washington first for my last living Aunt. She turns 93! God will always lead us in the direction he wants if we surrender to our great and mighty Lord. Father God we pray for Bishop George and his wife to give them peace and rest as they do your work. We thank you Father God for their unfailing love for your people. Bless them with your abundant love, rest, peace, grace, and mercy. Amen! 🙏🏼 ❤️

@OverTheHillAdventures Sir, I want to say, you are a blessing to us and I thank God for running into you, yes, God give us a calling and He equip us for whatever job He have for us and I realize that, I will stay in contact with you and thank you for your service I did twenty eight years in the Army I went in back during the Vietnam War but I didn't get a chance to go and fight but I was in during that War, I am so glad that you found your calling. Hi Guys! We will be leaving in a little over a month for South Dakota. We switched our bikes out for e-bikes and up graded our bike hitch. The bike cover we currently have covers both bikes when on the back of the rv but we were considering a separate cover for each bike to make it a little easier. It looks like you have one cover over both bikes. Your thoughts?

We do have the one bike cover and it has done well for us. We make sure to bungee the cover so it stays tight around the bikes and doesn’t flap in the breeze. This has worked perfectly for us. We have our home base in Lake Havasu Arizona and people are out on the water in kayaks all year long. We may only take it out once or twice a trip, but it’s worth it to us to have the option.
