Hi Liz and everyone. My wife past a year ago and I have not dated for 35 years. Online dating kind of gives me the creeps thinking about it. I think I would like to meet someone but I'm busy most of the time with art and a seasonal sport. I travel and sometimes camp every other weekend in the Sumer to do my sport. I would much rather just happen to meet someone and see how things go. I find that social media is a bit untruthful about people. I use it for friends and family only and not all that often. I don't have a pet so it does feel a little lonely at times. Besides, folks can be on their best behavior for many months before they show their real selves. Online just seems weird. I don't know.
@LizAmazing
@LizAmazing 4 жыл бұрын
I think you are right about that. Online dating is not the way to go. As it turned out, I met someone the old-fashioned way - - a camping neighbor. And now we are together. So sorry to hear about your wife. Sounds like you still manage to have a full life - happy travels to you.

The type of men who go into full time RV life are likely extremely independent "individuals." Consequently, they are less likely to engage in long term relationships. They are a lot like Alaska men. "The odds are good, but the goods are odd." is a frequent saying of women who go to Alaska looking for a husband considering the ratio of women to men there.

First time I have seen one of your videos, I watched because no one is talking about this subject and I was curious. Not that Im dating but dealing with people wether for business, friends, or dating is essentially the same. Trust your instincts, be safe, have a conversation, and then decided if you like being around the person. I enjoy chatting with people and hearing there experiences in life or work even if its just a short encounter. People put a lot of pressure on themselves to find someone it must be incredible difficult these days. When I first saw the title I laughed and wondered if there was RVTinder or something crazy like that, guess I wasn't far off and thats great for RVers out there. Best of luck to all on there journey's around the country, enjoyed your content

I'm a single (div. 2003) chick that's been on the road full time coming up 9 years. I've often thought of writing a book (for comedic value) about the absolute rejects of society that think they're 'in with a chance' because you're a solo female. Jeeeezus!!! They're unbelievable. Anyways, to the crux of the matter....I don't know why anyone would WANT to be searching for a partner in this day and age. Not only are they largely narcissistic these days, I certainly wouldn't or couldn't handle anyone in my space. My life is just fantastic cruising around doing what I want, going in the direction I want.....often lead by the toss of a coin...never having to discuss plans with anyone etc......I couldn't even share my life with a pet at this point lol....I just love doing my own thing so much.

Awesome!!! I so enjoyed my first year of solo rving. I loved having complete control of my day and my time-- not having to consult with anyone or compromise. And I am definitely done with online dating-- BUT honestly the low-lows on the road were way lower than when living in and part of a community. I think if I didn't move every two to three weeks that would go away as I would have felt more connected with my campground neighbors.

MGTOW just means we dont date, marry, or allow ourselves to get trapped in baby jail. if you respect our boundries we can be friends but that's as far as it will ever go. At 55 I have zero desire to get involved in anything like that again.
@Vention1MGTOW

@@joedonbaker1673 The average marriage lasts 8 years. Best to assume there will be a horrific divorce in your future the moment you consider dating a woman. Men have to pay to be in romantic relationships and we have to pay when the woman throws us out. Best to avoid the whole mess and enjoy your own life.
@Vention1MGTOW
@Vention1MGTOW 4 жыл бұрын
@@joedonbaker1673 Indeed. As a general rule when a woman reaches 45 or 50 her body is done, and her sex drive evaporates. But the same thing happens with familiarity. They get bored with you and cut you off in bed, pulling the rug out from under you completely, denying your selfish brutish needs. LOL. But if a man denies a woman in bed everyone has a seizure. The double standards for men and women are so distorted now that I generally refuse to interact with them unless they're someone really special and worth interacting with. As a general rule there is nothing like that. If the bedroom is off the table there generally isn't that much left. Just a woman who has a lot of needs, hangups and expensive medical and other needs and wants that she expects you to pay for. That's one reason I haven't dated since 2009.

@@bonniericica6895 *>Your wife is better off without you ..sadly to say!* And he would have been better off without her. Example. When a friend of mine was jailed for three months on a false accusation by his enraged "no s@x for 2 years" wife (when he finally starved out and cheated on her), my friends and I visited him in jail. That was enough for me. I realized I could never go through what he went through without taking my own life and possibly several others. So I figured it was safer for everyone involved if I remained single. I made that decision in 1997. I will never be a slave. Get over it. It's not all bad though. Without the drag factor of supporting you, your kids (and your divorce lawyer) I did ok. Paid off my first home (a nice condo) in 11 years, and paid off my house in 5 years. After that it was routine to live well on 30% of my mechanic wages. Wealth stacked up and I retired at 54. Now I'm ready to run around the country in a nice truck camper. I could afford one of those big boxy RV's but I like the maneuverability of a truck camper. Plus if you have surplus space, women will tend to want to move in. And once they're in they start getting rid of your stuff and filling your space with endless piles of her garbage. That's not happening. If the camper is small, they should never even bother. I'm also replacing the queen mattress with a single, to make my point very clear. I'm 55 now. Yes I know you don't need me sexually and I don't need you. So it's silly to expect a man to accept you now. You are nothing but expenses, demands, and then very likely a horrible divorce (unless you, like many women, go vulture and wait for us to die so you inherit my accumulated wealth. That's not happening either. Enjoy your cats and enjoy your catfood. The only relationship I have available to a woman is a distant friendship if she's a good person rather than a gold digger. At 55 though, the drives that force men into accepting the horrific risks of marrying a woman, are long gone. If I had an attractive and willing partner I'd only want it maybe every 5 or 6 days. Honestly, supporting a woman for that is stupid beyond belief. So you're on your own.

The problem comes when they want my phone number. That has some Internet history. Not much I can do about it. I investigated online phone numbers, i.e. Google, etc. That didn't work because you get this message after you dial saying something like "you're calling a computer" LOL So I have to be sure. I also had to take my photos down & just put some generic no face photo up because I was getting so many scammers, particularly on Plenty of Fish......great video though. Hi Liz! I’m really enjoying your channel and being on the “A Team”! Just wanted to give my 2 cents about man #3, who didn’t get back to you. Since he had a DUII, 3 things are likely. First, he likely has a drinking problem Drivers usually don’t get a DUI on their first, or even tenth, time doing it. Second, he might have watched your videos and seen that you are more of a “go deep” person, which means he would need to be willing to discuss his drinking. Third, he was probably drunk later in the day, and he either forgot to call, or he knew that he wouldn’t make a good impression in his inebriated state. Yes, I’m making some big, bold assumptions here. BUT... I’m speaking from experience. Really the main thing for you and readers to keep in mind is that by not contacting you, he still sent a message.

Both of them paid off handsomely. And most recently when I got cancer I'm free to work on this problem without a wife screaming at me to take chemo (and bump up my life insurance for her big payday). I avoided it all. Now I'm 93 pounds lighter and I got a 10% decrease in my cancer blood test. It's not a slam dunk but I think I'm solving that problem. Fingers crossed. The awesome thing about staying single is that it grabs all the power that is so often abused by women and the state, and returns that power to where it belongs, with US. Women are learning that "my body my choice" applies to men as well.

Liz Amazing The main problem I see with online dating is, the dating sites give you 10 ton of BS to get you to sign up, telling you it’s Free! Then when you sign up you find out its Not! You’ve got to buy Credits to send messages. Ive also seen some videos on KZfaq and Warn people of giving Bank Card Details .....in other words Don’t do it! They will give people are kinds of BS, then you find out they’ve started to take $49.95 a month Etc for Membership, anddddddd make it Extremely difficult to cancel the membership. Many of them are a Major League Con! I would Never give my bank card details, but I can sure see what some of them are like with just emails. I signed up to a few 3 years ago and I still can’t stop the stupid emails coming from the company, can you imagine the BS I would have had IF I had give bank card details!

Not always. And younger ones especially if you're over 50 and shes that hot 20 something you'll be watching her to closely. Not to mention the heart attack that's waiting for your silliness trying to keep up with her in bed!! I'm recently retired, no RV yet and 67 next week. But I've recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer for the second time. Oh joys! And my SSI just got cut $500 after 40 years of hard work! I've got to get that money back!! Thanks for the tips on sites as I'm looking for an RVer woman that wants a partner. My problem is this little cancer problem. Lol! But with my 115 average weight at 5'9" makes me skinny that I can walk in a rain storm and come back dry! Then the damages done by cancer and the radiation that saved my life! Yep cancer took my teeth, (who knew?) damaged my tounge and throat so eating is a hard job getting food down which because I can't eat but a few onces a day makes a "dinner date" a little awkward! Thankfully the VA feeds me enough Ensure to stay alive! But 6 cases takes up space!! What's so sad is I can cast iron cook like a champ and yes I can do a wicked Lasagna, many egg dishes and other fun foods that are silly soft and slippery! But things like steak I have to cut into thin little bits which is not the same thing as eating a nice big piece of juicy meat! Women don't want that or the age. All I want is a lady like me that needs a guy that's good with tools, a stove or fire pit and actually keeps a kitchen cleaner than Gordon Ramsey ever saw! Nothing in the sink and yes, I do windows! And as a retired trucker there isnt an RV site yet I can't get a class A with a toad into either forwards or in reverse! And yes I am on the roof keeping tabs on the sealant while watching for delamination and inside leaks! You 2 stay safe Liz and hopefully I will someday be in an RV! Now to hit those sites up! Anyone else it takes me maybe 10 minutes to get packed unless you want me to bring my cast iron cookware with me. Blue skies and safe journey's! Oh! I'd rather have an older woman as they already know what they want and they train you for her likes and wants which is better than teaching a child everything!

Excellent video. I used to travel a lot for my own business, from 1996 to 2015, and was willing to relocate, so I could honestly do Match with women in places I was willing to live. I have done more online dating exploration locally. The people issues, good or bad, are about the same. A distance relationship can work, but only if the distance is eliminated fairly soon. Because of that, the relationship needs both people being excited about each other, figuring out and knowing fairly soon. It would not make sense to move when a relationship is still casual, and the relationship will die off if you take a long time. I have only entertained the idea during periods of my life when I could relocate. I can do it again in 2021 because I retired, and I know where I am and where I am not willing to relocate, but local is much more workable.

@Liz Amazing: I have giving up on trying to date. Too much BS. I have a great dog to share my experiences with. Never did the on-line date thing, and after research from other's experiences, I do not think I will. I am too old and nearing retirement. I want to live free from the drama and lies people seam to offer for financial security or scams. I recommend a great rescue dog.Works for me!

My late wife and I loved traveling in our motorhome. She passed away six years ago and I don’t travel much anymore. I have a number of female friends that I do things with but nothing serious. Most women I am interested in are not interested in RVing. For now, it’s me and my dog when I do travel.

I do not know if old people can fly drones lol . I have about 20 of them. I have not enjoyed flying them because I have had far to many breakdowns with my motorhome. Seems everybody what has towed my motorhome has damaged it. I just want to get back on the road and head south ! I really enjoy finding friends and sharing events. Life is to short just enjoy yourself and everything else will fall as it may.

Liz, this is a great video with excellent dating tips. I've stopped searching for anyone to date because I ONLY found men that were not who they pretended to be. I was very disappointed & do not feel that my expectations are too high. I have also been trying to discover why I have attracted this type of person & maybe when/if I ever figure out why I'll go back to dating. Who knows, Thanks for the insight.

Tip 9 hit close to home . The only advice on relationships my dad gave me was , Don't ever chase after somebody , if they want to be with you ,they will be . And , Don't lie , She deserves better then that . I definitely agree that roles we play has a effect on who we attract . Also to much info early on is a red flag . BTW Plenty of Fish is a naughty website . Lots of cheaters and " professional ladies " on there . I still prefer meeting people by chance . Great tips ,great video .Thank you . Ps . I believe I violated your No. 1 tip

Dumb me I’ve been watching couples RV channels. I’m single and preparing for going on the road solo. I sold my ranch last year and have til May 15 to be off the ranch. I just upgraded to a new truck and now looking at fifth wheels. I have gave some thought to meeting or dating but mostly been researching the tech end of RV-ing. I’ve been single 15 yrs and the first 10 I had a band so did a lot of dating. But now I haven’t been on a date in probably 2 yrs. if I date again I want it to be more meaningful and company I enjoy. I’m on no dating sites. It just hasn’t been a priority. I said all this because of something you said. Sharing moments with somebody. I have thought of that and it’s really a downer. I never thought of single RV groups till you mentioned it. I guess I’ll need to at least research this a little. Most the time I don’t mind at all being alone or single. But sometimes the loneliness becomes very real. All my friends know I’m getting an RV and going on the road. My only doubts has been being solo. Happy Trails!

Hi and happy trails to you!! One thing i learned is to get my life together and build my dream life BEFORE finding a partner. Once you get on the road, check out WIN, mentioned in the video. A lot of single solos gather in groups so you wouldn’t necessarily have to couple up but could enjoy some group activities. I found being single on the road so much harder in that it was easy to slip into isolation- and then depression. I had to really take charge of my mental wellbeing and also be sure I had enough of social things on my calendar. You might find this video helpful: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7CYiZiD39vbhX0.html

Liz Amazing I think it’s going to be the way for this Brit, the old fashion way face to face. I would love to meet an American but if you send someone a message these days they think your Nuts. I guess for a female it’s different because they get so much BS from some men out there. You only have to check out a few RV/Travel channels of females to see that, one woman I know of was stalked and threatened. Some guys are nutty as a fruit cake!

I chuckled watching 'n listening. Good conclusions on your part ! I'm 75, retired architect, divorced 38 yrs ago, extremely active & healthy, travel all over, presently traveling in 6 Southeast Asia countries ....will most likely will get a rig when I get back to the states in the spring 'n make my 10th trip to Alaska. I "LOVE" the outdoors & will welcome full time RVing ...it sure would be neat to find a "like minded" soul ....but dating sites??? Been there, done that ...and NOPE! Huge waste of time. HUGE! Respectfully, if I may say, you have a great personality, attractive, under 50 and outward going..... trust me, God will put the right person in your path. Hang in there 'n not worry. Patience :)

nice blog gal keep up the good work ,,as for pof ,, well it is really not a dating site in the true meaning,, connecting singles is a ok sort of site ,, but like all of these sites you have to be aware of scammers,,all free sites are littered with them sadly ,, but hey if cupid or fate works its magic then the world is your oyster gal ,,so good luck in your quest and always let happiness be your best friend ,,,

You are too funny! I have not been to that part of Georgia, but it looks like a super-pretty area. Since I am DONE with online dating (and you know the story about how I met Paul), I can say the best way to meet someone is to be friendly to everybody. I had ruled out Paul as a dating prospect because I felt he was too old for me. BUT we remained friends. And...then I found out what a sweet man he really is. Wishing you best of luck out there! And be safe and well during these times.
