Many will show MSRP on new ones when others will show a 20 or 30 even more percent discount. It still leave you with guessing.

That's true. But most of the time, you can buy a new RV for about 25 - 30% off of MSRP. And that should be your goal when buying new.

Excellent information! The first step is to buy a well taken care of used rig. We found one not even a year old and slept in 6 nights. Saved us over $10,000.

The problem with using NADA is it is a guide for dealerships. It is slanted toward the dealers.

Thanks Duane, another home run! I have not used RVT, currently I use RV trader all most exclusively. Looking for a new coach I have become a bit disappointed with the MSRP regarding the price. So I take 35% off and figure that is a good starting point. I'm going to check RTV out and continue to investigate! SAFE TRAVELS!!

You are about right Ron. Consider 35% off MSRP as a pretty fair buy point for new RVs in general. Of course, RVs are selling like crazy now so it's getting tougher to get deep discounts now especially in certain areas. Here's hoping you find what you are looking for at the price you want!

Make sure that the RV dealership that is selling the rv is showing the ACTUAL PICTURES of the rig and not a STOCK PHOTO which may not look like anything like the actual rig. This is very deceptive and is a big waste of time for me. If you can post an online ad, you can post the actual pictures if you are honest.

Two things here. The listed msrps on these sites are a joke and no one in their right mind would pay the list price either.

Actually this video is mainly about how to establish the right price for a used RV, not new ones. New RV prices are established by the manufacturer and dealers will often allow you up to 35% off. Of course, these days since so many are now buying RVs like crazy and there is a backlog of orders, the discounts are getting much slimmer now. But that will no doubt change when supplies of new RVs improve. Regarding used RVs though, if you follow the advice in this video you can get a good feel for the asking price that the marketplace allows for any particular RV. Then you can negotiate from there.
