The town of Grindavík has agreed on a name for the lava field growing around the volcano and is working on paths to make the area more accessible. We also try to explain why the volcano’s new lava fountain is shooting almost 300 metres into the air, in a very similar way to our beloved Geysir. And finally, the volcano area is up for sale. But you'll probably need a couple of hundred million Icelandic krona if you want to get your foot on the volcano property ladder.

They use professional video and audio gear, which makes a great difference in quality. Most YT submissions are taken using crummy cellphone cameras. Professional camera lenses are incredibly expensive, but that's how/why you get the beautiful zooms that the cellphone guys can't touch.

@@demef758 good equipment helps...but a good photographer can make great photos with a cheap camera. There is a YT channel where professional photographers take up a challenge to take great photos with a barbie camera... at least I recall it as being a cheap toy camera for kids. It can be done dude it just takes talent.

Yes, I would be interested in how they are organised. Is there always a certain number of staff positioned there? Are they called there only when needed? Where is their home base? Are they additional staff or are they part of the regular staff? Is there extra security staff to keep an eye on the people and give them orders when needed? What do they think of the volcano and of the people going there? Is volcano duty voluntary or is it just part of normal duty? How often do they go there? Does it ever become dull or is the volcano still interesting?

I think I remember them talking about this in Hawaii even though it ended up not being the reason. The magma is under tremendous pressure and gas is dissolved in it. As it reaches closer to the surface the gas separates from the drop in pressure and explodes out pushing the lava and causing the geyser and the splatter. One other thing, that cone is not very strong so even when this is over I would not approach an edge.

Some would call that Lava foam Tephra. It is a close cousin to Pumice. Both of which can float in water depending on trapped gas. I think it would be good to use it as a planting material.
