Visiting Cortez Colorado | Small Town America
When folks talk about southwestern Colorado, we often hear about Durango, Colorado. But on our way between Moab, Utah and Durango, we stopped to visit Mesa Verde National Park. And when looking for a place to stay near Mesa Verde, we discovered perhaps one of the most underrated small towns in Colorado.
This week, join us as we explore another fantastic small town: Cortez CO! Cortez is home to fantastic food, great small local businesses, and 10,000 years of cultural history!
To see more fun things to do in Cortez, Colorado, visit our website: rvamericayall....

🤠 Thanks For Watching!
We are Tom and Stacie Langland, known for 10 years as RV Texas Y'all.
We are Native Texans and Full-Time RVers who are all about exploring the Great State of Texas and America one campground at a time. We're on a mission to experience life, not just live it and we're bringing you along for the fun.
In 2018, we sold our house, our business and gave away just about everything we own to hit the road and see America. Our home is a 33' motorhome named Freedom. We installed an extreme solar and lithium battery setup so now we can camp just about anywhere with our dog (Star) and our cat (Astro).
Every day is a new adventure, so join us as we RV America Y'all.
Safe Travels and Happy Camping!

Wow, Mcfee has shrunk! I used to live in the area in the mid '90's and visit the reservoir almost every weekend. I miss the awesome mountain biking up at Boggy Draw from Dolores ❤

First time watching your video. You all are so warm and friendly and genuinely interested in the area you’re visiting and that’s refreshing. I lived in Colorado for 30 years until moving to the North Carolina coast 2 1/2 years ago. I have never been to Cortez I’m thinking I must’ve gone through it to go to Mesa Verde, I am thinking of wintering in Arizona Phoenix or Tucson area open. I need to find somewhere to spend the summers that isn’t so hot. I don’t have an RV I stay at a park model phone and a very nice RV resort. Just started researching all this, but Cortez keeps coming up as an area to possibly spend the summers. It must have grown a lot because it used to be just super small and pretty much unheard of. Thanks for the information and enjoy your travels.

We have stayed in Cortez I think 3 times now and have always enjoyed our stays. And the Lounge Lizard, oh yes, in our top two in town I think. And Durango, another spot we love. Thanks for the tour.

We just love your videos! We find so much good info in them. We camp some of the same places you do after you show us what the campground is like. We have to go back to some of the places again because after watching your videos we discovered we missed things. We hope we run into you both out on the road. Happy travels, from Laurie and Rick
