at 22:34, rw9 does this weird backwards looking wavedash onto the curve of the wall. I've noticed other MENA pros like nwpo use this exact same move. Can anyone explain how it works, please? edit: nevermind. saw @blakxnz answer this, it's a diagonal flip (maybe cancelled?) onto the curve of the wall. If anyone wants to explain the mechanic in further detail, please do so.

Spoiler: I think daniel won this because he adapted the way he wanted to score, he realized that rw9 goal defense was primarily through waiting and floating in the air to save the shots, so daniel started to 50/50 goal shots allowing him to score more.

Man this is what I’ve been saying I honestly think Daniel’s the best 1’s player rn. When he lost that tourney match against Jack I feel like that was a bit of luck from Jack. Not to take away from Jack since he’s amazing and also one of the best 1’s players in the world, but all of Daniel’s wins were clear and 3 of Jack’s wins were in overtime and could have gone either way. A mixture of misfortune and tilt from Daniel. From the way everyone was playing in that tournament I could tell Daniel was the best. Even though Firstkiller and Jack went to Finals Daniel was better than both. Dan, Rw9, Yan, Jack, and maybe mawkzy are the possible top 5. I think Firstkiller is still a great 1’s player but he doesn’t seem to be in ‘form’ right now. Trk is in the conversation as well and AyyJayy would be if he had a bit more consistency. That’s my personal hot take haha

You could tell towards the end of game 2 he lost interest in the game and had to reel it back in to close out the series.
