A tour of the Rwenzori high peaks in western Uganda, in one of KEA's Bell 412 helicopters. The heli ops base, the soccer field near the vanilla processing plant at Ndali Lodge, is at 4712 ft. MSL, the summit of Mt Stanley is at 16,762 ft. The snow and ice occurs above about 15,000 ft.. We flew around both the Uganda side and the Congo side of the peaks. Some of the video clips were taken by a handheld camera and some by a GoPro attached to the tail boom looking forward and down. No landing was made on the glacier saddle but it might have been possible with a lighter load. This is in the northern hemisphere but only just barely, the high peaks are about 30 miles north of where the equator crosses the Uganda/Congo border.
