He didn't "carry" mudvayne. Mudvayne was good. He just added the extra flare. Easily the best bassist in metal. I miss it so very much.

one of the most outlandishly talented bass players there is. Last i heard he's been doing a ton of studio work, and is currently working on 2 seperate projects. One being country, the other being r&b
@KamiDisturbed
@KamiDisturbed 10 жыл бұрын
actually other project he was working on is with matt mcdonugh and its like somekind of djenty stuff :D check out "on the shoulders of giants" or "ontsog" in soundcloud, ive heard about the rnb/country thing on interview on warwick ^^ wonder what thatll come out. ryan has his new studio which u can send ur tapes and he mixes them :D so ive heard.

i wouldn't say hes too talented for Mudvayne. Mudvayne has good sound, plus they have their OWN sound which is good. He's a big part of the reason why, but not the only reason. Matt and Chad both make the band sound the way it does as well. Greg's style of guitar is written all over them. They mesh well together, which, I would imagine, is why they are still playing together after all these years.

Man i love Ryan's playing so much. He still remains an inspiration to me. Why? Because he is so versatile. He plays everything, from metal to jazz and funk. He is absolutely gifted at what he does and proves that metal has total room for serious and intricate bass work. You can't diss on ryan .no matter your opinion of mudvayne you have to give props to him .So curious bout his side project

Hands down the most underrated bassist in metal! When i first heard MV i thought F all this nu metal biz but i gave it a chance and all thanks 2 Ryan for keeping me interested! His style/approach is unique in the thudding slop that @ least 90% of other metal groups sound like! Funky, jazzy, thrashin, holdn it down!! Jaco, Cliff, les, Flea, larry, Victor, Billy, Jonas, he has all those styles in 1!! 1 of the greatest all time!

Ryan, you don't need Chad or Greg. You and Matt should totally do another progressive metal or jazz fusion type project. I love Mudvayne but I'm tired of waiting on Chad to quit selling out with Hellyeah and ready to hear more phenomenal talent that you have to offer with other projects in the future, hopefully. Been playing bass myself now for almost ten years and your one of the guys who still inspires me. Keep up the amazing work.

@KamiDisturbed Definitely. He provides balance that makes them all a great team. He's probably the only one that is great at what he does without the group, but he's not limiting himself by being with them, I think. L.D. 50 is excellent proof of their artistry.

@MORGAN1992FREEM4N i believe he is the best even including jacos and all (dont get me wrong ive played all of those styles, tried jaco, wooten, stanley, marcus, martinie, fieldy, shit like that) Ryan just has something that no one else does. He never makes too much of stuff into songs if he doesent have to, he never shows off and thats why its so rare to find this kind of clips of him. in my opinion he is the best bass composer there is.
