Back to the Summer of 83 when I was only 24, and used to live my Life as a "Dolce Vita". Those were the days, my Friend!! We singed and danced forever and a day.

Not only is this a superb disco/dance tune, its also one of the happiest songs ever. You hear this on holiday for example, somewhere in a restaurant or club and you cant help but feel good, an absolute classic.

I'm born in 2000 and got the song from the KPN advertisement. For a week i'm listening this song for hours straight, wish this where my teenage years. Love it

I'm 40. As a kid we had a compilation tape with this banger aboard. Europe and any international travel was always massively exciting. Even walking through the departure lounge of Manchester Airport was like emigrating. I miss that sense of wonder.

Such happy memories of this song being played constantly on holiday in Spain ! Me and my friend were 14 at the time and my mum had taken us away ! We bought the 12 inch remix there ! Even now my friend and I love this song and play it in the car if we’re ever together! Both in our 50’s now ! Where has that time gone?? 😢❤

I remember when Ryan appeared on Top of the Pops on 8th September 1983 where this song was at number 21 charts in the charts at the time and his appearance had propelled it up to no. 5 the following week with a gradual descent after that but was also up against really fierce competition from Culture Club and UB40 who were also celebrating their UK biggest hits of their chart careers at the same time as well as well as David Bowie who was enjoying another new renaissance and Paul Young with his follow up to his number one earlier on in the summer. By the end of October that year, the song had completely disappeared from the UK charts mainly as it was played more on BBC Radio 2 rather than the mainstream radio 1. It was however the big summer hit in 1983 where holiday makers coming back from abroad had wanted to buy it at home.

This is such a catchy and great 80's song, Paris has a very likable voice, smooth and easy on the ears. They don't do them like this anymore...

Summer 1983, this song was Everwhere in Europe. Two week vacation in Ibiza - years before it became the birthplace of Chill - song was on every local radio station. Back to work in the UK, it was on virtually every radio station, Laser 558 in particular. Extremely catchy. Still have the 45 in a full picture sleeve. Good memories that summer.
