My grandfather was abusive to my father and my two uncles. I remember at a young age, my father going to spank me for doing something bad I did and it wasn't the first time. This time he broke down, he teared up and said , "what ails you boy? I swear I'll never hit you again like my father did to me. You let me down, you disappointed me." And that hurt me more than any physical abuse could. I never let him down again. I remember when I was 8 years old, he told me, "love and respect your mother, always. She's the only woman that will love you from the day you're born until she dies."

I adore these two people, excited to watch. Oh my goodness such a rich conversation because these two exemplify alchemy! His mama and her mama were that heat and pressure to their cool demeanors as gems. Demons sometimes occupy people’s hearts and I can only imagine the little lights they were as kids, the dark comes for the light sometimes.

When I was 8 years old, I was wondering why my life was so hard, and I had a vision of myself in heaven, picking my life.
