4 жыл бұрынi was thinking of the oc since we got a summer seth airport photo and i remembered my otp. i loved them and thought they were a perfect match and never liked him and marissa. she kind of dragged him down while taylor lifted him up.

with taylor, ryan no longer got into fights or arrested. All the trouble he got into stopped with her. She not only changed him as a person but also gave him a healthier environment & was always there for him no matter how depressed he was. His family gave him the time & space he needed but her determination & commitment to helping him heal was beautiful & exactly what he needed.

AGREED!! Like the first watch (granted I was a lot younger) I liked Ryan and Marissa I thought they were fine but as I got older and rewatched the show a few times I'm now like couldn't Marissa just commit herself to Ryan why does he have to go around punching every guy thats in love with her! (& why was every if not a majority of the guys on the show in love with Marissa like Summer's great!) The relationship with Taylor was sweet like you got to see a new side of him which was nice.

I loved Ryan and Marissa but I think that Taylor was exactly what Ryan needed after Marissa died. Taylor saved Ryan and was his true love.

It’s amazing in the show Marissa ends up dead and in reality she’s a mess... and Ryan and Taylor in the show end up together and in reality are doing very well with their careers. Going back to the show, Marissa was a disaster for Ryan, to me it seemed he always had feeling for Taylor but Marissa infatuated him and got him into situations that always brought the worst out. She needed a hero always being a drama queen and he felt he had to help because he always felt guilty for his mom. He had to always protect. The true love was with Taylor always.

Marissa was Ryan's first great love. Their relationship made Ryan the man he is. It was a love of youth. The relationship with Taylor is more mature, it makes Ryan smile. They are soul mates. The most beautiful couple in the series, with Seth and Summer.

I could not have explained better what you said! I totally agree. The story of Ryan and Marissa is somewhat reminiscent of that of Dawson and Joey (death aside). Dawson was her first love, Pacey her true love just like Marissa was Ryan's first love, and Taylor his true love

I would love to vid them someday. Taylor was a rollercoaster but by s4 I loved her and found her most relatable. She brought sunshine back into Ryan's life. Loved their story.

Marissa was drama queen. She was always the downer in their relationship. Too serious too theatrical too much drama. İ never know Ryan could be fun and up lifted. Because of Taylor i did learn. İ think they better than Ryan and Marissa.

I liked Ryan with Taylor more than with Marissa. Marissa was too much cry baby and always got Ryan in trouble. It was an example of toxic relationship. Whereas Taylor was bright, smiley and happier person. She made Ryan better too - exactly what he needed.

This was seriously so beautiful!! Because I am not patient the minute I saw Ryan kiss Taylor so she could get a divorce I looked them up on KZfaq to see if they end up together and I love them. I know one of the big questions is, what did that glance and Seth and Summer’s wedding mean? I don’t think they were together but I think I’m that moment they knew and we knew that no matter what happens they were always going to be meant for one another in the end.

Rachel Bilson has a podcast. The first guest was Josh Schwartz. At the end of the first podcast he reads an IG question “ Do you regret matching Ryan and Taylor” he said “ not at all” Rachel then asks “ do they end up together?” His reply “ yes”

I like to think that they did get married before seth and summer did because i think the flash forward goes further than 4 years and I definitely don't think ryan would help that kid out on his own. I think he will have help.

I always see these great compilations that make me want to watch the show, yet not 1 of the people in the Comments, or the creators of these compilations will take 5 seconds to mention the name of the TV Show/Movie or where it plays (E.g. Netflix, TV Channel, Etc). It’s so frustrating!

The show's name is "The O.C" Unfortunately, it ended a few years ago. I'm not sure where you can find it but I'm pretty sure some streaming service should have it. Or you can always get the DVD (it's worth it)

@@reinemfz2961 when marissa was alive, Ryan was with other girls and he was literally being sad over Lindsay in the second season. Marissa might’ve been Ryan’s first love but he has moved on from her many times but obviously she keeps coming back into his life.

PLS 😂 they just had to wrap the show up bc it was getting cancelled lmao. & the fact that even after lindsay, when he was upset, he was the one who that started that kiss in the car not marissa. he also did that in season 1. HE almost always enters the idea of them getting together again first. she can’t come back into his life unless he wants her to & he always did.

And summer became very close with her as well. I agree that Ryan is in love with marissa cuz that’s his first love but honestly there was no way they would’ve lasted. Marissas death was bound to happen just saying
