If england did this sort of behaviour in the tunnel. The whole world of rugby fans would be going in on england saying our players are nasty and arrogant. Scottish player goes up to an england player in the tunnel just minding his own business in the tunnel and threatens to injure him.. and its suddenly awesome psychological tactics. Double standards are embarrassing.

@@tommooney5984 not half, but in 2019 we had: Mako Vunipola born in NZ, Billy Vunipola born in Australia (both qualify through residency). Sam Underhill was born in the USA and qualifies through a parent. Willi Heinz was born in NZ and qualifies through grandparents. Manu Tuilagi was born in Samoa and is a resident, as is Joe Cokanasinga who was born in Fiji.

10 of England under 20s squad over the last 5 years now play for foreign nations so it works both ways in terms of giving players, there will always be some who decide to play in another country or move here when they are young, Sam Underhill's dad was in the army for instance so moved around a lot

@@paulmulryne8405 you are wrong about Vunipola brothers and Underhill. All three spent their entire or majority school years in England. Similar with Manu and Coka although they spent a few more years abroad then the others.

There’s nothing really wrong with a bit of chat between the players, and the best way to negate grubs like Wilson is to laugh and join in the banter, not let them wind you up AND show them you’re not nervous at all. The worst possible reaction - surprise surprise - is to do what Farrell did and get so wound up that you start a ruck in the tunnel when you’re not even the target of the chat. And boom Scotland get under your skin, they know they have, and they go on and win the game. Yet again, Farrell = meathead.

It is not madness in honesty?, the madness is why YOU in supposedly representing YOUR Country would for one minute think this was the way to do it. Causing embarrassment for your fellow players, your country and lastly your own miss guided ideas of wearing a shirt with pride. .perhaps a look at your pre match preparation, your tactics, your positioning, your timing, your SELF CONTROL ,your discipline to name a few would have been a better way to behave. And finally the example you send out to all your players watching YOU.

They won the game he did this in. Scotland have 2 pro teams, England has how many? Scotland has the smallest pool of professional rugby players in all of the Tier 1 nations, England has the Largest. He did represent his country by bringing his team's energy and aggression up, they subsequently won the game.

My point is he was trying to win and in doing so he got his team fired up by antagonising an important English player, he didn't just blindside him with a punch, he got in his head which resulted in a fight. Have you ever played rugby? It gets aggressive and very easy to lose your cool, he played on this pre game and Scotland went on to win.

@@Asoundviewpoint as a young player myself in Scotland, this video would never put me off, there are plenty of Scottish clubs at amateur level, people aren't put off the game by this single interview or action, there aren't many pro's in the Scottish game because there is only 2 PROFESSIONAL CLUBS, do I have to say that again before you understand, people aren't put off by an antagonist attitude, this man didn't even get physical first, as he said Owen Farrel pushed him and that's shown in the tunnel video. As a young player i wouldn't do this but I play at club level, the pride of my nation isn't at stake and the teams I'm playing against don't have access to largest pool of pro players in the world. If I was in Wilson's position I would definitely get in the head of a key opposition player before and during the match, if you disagree with that then you simply don't have a competitive edge.
