For just over £12, a little trip to Dublin with Ryanair couldn't be resisted. Booked only a couple of days in advance as well! Fortunately, the last few days, the lunchtime service from Birmingham to Dublin has been operated on Ryanair's new 737 MAX's, which meant I was able to get on a brand new aircraft, and this particular aircraft, EI-HEW was only delivered at the beginning of the month, so literally a brand new airframe! The aircraft definitely had that new aircraft smell to it.
Quite a decent short flight across the Irish Sea to Dublin too. Not bad for a £12 flight. Legroom isn't the best on the 737 MAX unfortunately, not as good as that on the normal 737-800's with the newer seats. The Sky interior definitely made the aircraft feel modern though, and the MAX engine's sound so quiet!
The engine view seat was definitely a must too, beautiful angle and perfect to hear the washing machine buzzing of those CFM LEAP engines
Look out for some Dublin Airport spotting content as well as my flight back to London Luton on a standard Ryanair 737-800, all to come over the next few days.
