I let a dietitian talk me into trying intuitive eating some years back. The two months that I tried it, my diet consisted primarily of corn dogs, Oreos, Coke-Cola, Burger King, and lattes. All intuitive eating did for me was confirmed what I already knew: I have the palate of a teenage athlete who just got his first car.

You are by far the best personality I could take advice from. Thanks for your content. I've been doing this "I hate myself enough to change" thing for 13 months now, and you have been a super huge part of my transformation. I went from "never got picked for a single team in school" to "all my coworkers only want to be on my softball team". It's absolutely amazing, it's totally been worth the discipline needed to diet, supplement shitty chalky protein constantly, and listen to advice that sounds like it was formulated with a crayon by homeless children in the park. Keep it up man, you've been an inspiration.

Great video, I disagree with the " no cardio " aspect. Should always do bit of cardio 15-20min 1-2 times a week whether trying to gain weight or lose it.i stopped doing cardio for 10 years, I feel soo much better just doing a little bit now. Your heart is most important muscle, dont neglect it. Also keeping fitness level helps lose weight when you want to cut as you burn more calories in shorter duration.

The issue with “eating by Intuition” is people have been eating incorrectly for so long they can’t tell the difference between being hungry and being thirsty. I’d say the bulk of the time when you “feel hungry” your body is asking for water.

I started doing cardio last September and dropped 17 pounds by the end of March. I figured out right away, calorie deficit is a must! And working out 10-12 hours after I last ate was the key. I wasn't trying to build muscle at the time. I just wanted to lose the belly. While I am still chubby mess yet I am now trying to plan my winter months. Now, I have found these videos and am trying to understand most of your terminology hahaha. Saturday's are my only day off work until snow flies. Here, I sit on my day off trying to make a plan for the winter months. Come next April, it'll be back to working 16 hours a day. I'll have 4 months to get into a shape that isn't round. Then trying during next summer to maintain it

Thanks, Ryan. First time I've heard a trainer saying out loud that diet and training intensity are the keys to gaining muscle and losing bodyfat, and there's no need for Cardio. Before Covid I got down to 6% bodyfat and I haven't gotten onto a bike or even broken into a run since 2012. Enjoying incorporating the exercise tweaks that are beginning to get me back to that place, now I've thrown away the potato chips again...

About an hour to 90 minutes weight training and about the same cardio (mostly moderate walking on the treadmill). The food is satisfying, I don't miss anything. Really interesting watching this for the first time AFTER I had been trying to do this for 3 months. I've been losing around .5-1 lb every day while pushing weights at least 3 times a week. Always in a calorie deficit, lost 13 lbs so far, while definitely building muscle. I keep myself on such a strict schedule and a decent diet. I also probably eat more than most as it is because my job is very physical. Being able to balance all of this is really difficult, but so important.

@@TobbeStorm Losing weight is all about calorie intake. To build muscle at the same time, you definitely need to keep yourself at a calorie deficit, but most of the calories you eat should come from a source high in protein. I also keep myself on a pretty consistent schedule for eating. Small snacks between 3 major meals to keep the metabolic processes going. My job is also physical all day so that helps curb my calorie intake.

My friend your videos are a breath of fresh air. Helpful info but comical and entertaining. Rather than the standard 'do these 4 sets 12x with this % of weight' you give advice like changing your reps or doing partials rather than just increasing the weight. Keep em coming!

You are a fucking Champion. Over all the years of watching numerous different workout vids and advice, by far you are the most informative, realistic, practical, relatable and it all works. I love how candid and raw you are with what you say. I sit here and laugh my arse off. You definitely need to look at stand up comedy, you are good. Everything you need talk about is so well rounded. You!, in my opinion are one of the most educated and experienced in this field, of nutrition, exercise, working out, building muscle, and how to train muscles and muscles groups. There needs to be more like you mate. Keep up the awesome work with the KZfaq vids. I think you are awesome buddy.

it takes years and years and failure after failure to learn what you're body is telling you. If you are not 100% sure of what you need in your body do the regimental way, that way you can get results, bypass some of the failures and learn at the same time what your body likes and doesnt like. its a win win. If you are having trouble with the above, get a coach, a good coach

Just found the channel recently. Only watched a couple videos but love the channel!! Firstly, the humor is just off the chain hilarious. That said I also feel it speaks volumes about some of these ridiculous fitness claims that are being put out there. The information is invaluable and the delivery is absorbable for all levels and entertaining. I would challenge your comment about not doing cardio. I do agree that learning how to manipulate your nutrition successfully is most important but for those of us that are endomorphs or others with just horrible GPP cardio will be important and beneficial. If your GPP is so bad you crash after 2 sets ez bar curls then you're never really going to be able to make that mind muscle connection effective.
