Great video Ryan. Was wondering if you can do a video about your thoughts about cvd or universal. Thank you
@RyanLutz
@RyanLutz 6 ай бұрын
On the Kyosho it’s minimal due to how they have the cvd built. However with cars that have the cvd built on the inside of the wheel hub and captured by the bearing it makes a bigger difference. Usually the cvd in that case will result in a touch more grip feel and more support from the driveline making it feel like the driveline is more supported. The universal will result in a bit more free driveline and softer suspension feel. Usually better in the bumps.

Another great video Ryan. Can you do a video on what your 10px controller settings are? Like when you would use certain settings depending on the track condition. When do you like to change the settings on the transmitter vs the ESC? What are your preferred settings on low grip vs high grip? I feel like that would kind of bring everything together, with the ESC tuning and this video. Adam Drake has a video on the 10px going over the settings, he likes to play with the throttle range. He recommends 70\30, on braking and throttle. I just like to see what your thoughts are. Thanks

Ryan Lutz Hi, I'm Giuseppe Masocco. great video, great setup guide! The use of the central differential with the various ratios is well specified and the use of the small case is the large one! The operation of handling the model on the track is well explained. For shock absorbers, very useful if your quick method for checking the density of the shock absorber oils is essential. With the possibility of creating your own usage table. Is the density of the shock absorber oils checked with a cold car or with a hot car, just off the track? Your reflection on the shock absorber plates is truly incredible! It's about everything else! A well-set model exponentially increases satisfaction and driving pleasure! For us amateurs, most of the time we use models with incorrect setups and we always drive the models with little satisfaction and much more effort. that sometimes discourages you! A well-set model will be easier and more encouraging for both the amateur and the professional! Thank you!👋
@RyanLutz
@RyanLutz 7 ай бұрын
Thank you Giuseppe for the comment! I check the shock oil feel before running. If you have ill effects on the track you can check after a run too to maybe make a better setup change decision if you notice front end slapping or similar.

How much of that testing the shock rebound is influenced with the spring that’s on the car? Like if the tires were hopping off, could that also be the springs are too soft?
@RyanLutz
@RyanLutz 5 ай бұрын
Perhaps but a lot is the oil. Generally in racing we only go between one or two different spring rates once we have a base for the car. You won’t see too much variation in that regard.

No mention of shock positions or i just missed it haha. Still a great video nonetheless. Raising ride height for me has been an overall good thing to do. Even though I mainly race on high grip tracks (Indy Rc World) a little bit of height helps a ton. Although my links are all the way out haha. Quick question for you or anyone reading the comment. But when do you use a higher center diff compared to your rear and front? I’ve played around having 10k in the center and 5k front and rear and drove not too bad. Honestly made the buggy feel soft compared to what i have in it now 10 10 7. Heck of a lot more drive for sure. with the front being 10 as well.
@RyanLutz
@RyanLutz 7 ай бұрын
There is a little bit on shocks comparing 5x1.5 to 8x1.3. Could dive deeper on further videos. Higher center could be a preference thing. More forward drive and more 4wd. If too high on a looser track will make car feel loose. Sometimes we may run 7-10-5 if grip is at least decent and you want more forward drive and stability under braking.
