"KZfaq poop" exists both in german and in american/international KZfaq. Basically, you take some already existing videos (such as TV shows, Advertisements, etc.) cut the video into small snippets and edit those snippets together to make the people in the videos say silly things. As the term "KZfaq poop" suggests, it's usually not exactly sophisticated humor, but it can still be quite funny sometimes.

A "Phasenprüfer" is basically a screwdriver with a little lamp. If you Touch a electrical contact with the Tip of it and the lamp glows, than there's electricity. So "Phase" in this case means basically electricity. And He touches the Bi-Flag with the Phasenprüfer and says that it can't be "a phase" because the lamp isn't glowing ;)
@HalfEye79
@HalfEye79 Жыл бұрын
That isn't the bi-flag. Its the trans-flag.
@SiqueScarface
@SiqueScarface Жыл бұрын
The name "Phasenprüfer" has to do with the fact that the lamp glows only if touching the "Phase" wire, the one actually carrying the AC. If touching the Ground or the Zero wire, it will stay dark. It is used to test for AC or phase, hence the name "phase tester". Because of its somewhat dubious success rate, it is also nicknamed "Lügenstift" (lying pen).

3:50 Usually there is a sign on the glass recycling containers "Don't use after 7pm" or something similar ... they shouldn't be used later in the evening or at night because of the noise when bottles are being thrown in. Also, it's forbidden to cause unnecessary loud noise (e.g. playing music outside) after 10pm. However, in New Years Eve it seems rather ridiculous to prosecute the noise of a glass recycling container... there are probably much more, much louder noises nearby at that evening

The "Phasenprüfer" joke is about how a lot of people tend to dismiss transgender issues as "just having a phase" (like when kids want to be firefighters etc.). They're holding a "phase-measuring-device" (it's a screwdriver to measure whether there's electricity) to the trans-pride flag and say "well, my *phase-measuring-device* doesn't work, therefore it's not a phase" which translates to being trans not being a phase, but a genuine condition.

That Hermes meme literally broke me, way too soon tho. I was making room to wait for that damn package the entire morning. Was sitting literally next to the letter box, because I had an extended conversation with my neighbor. And out of nowhere I received an text that they didn’t encounter someone and couldn’t deliver my package. I took the day off, was sitting next to my box and istg that delivery guy wasn’t even near my house. I would be suprised if he even was at my city. So I did. the most German thing even, I karened my way into getting my package delivered. I called and complained and 3 hours later, I opened my door because someone ring the bell and my package was out and about laying right there. Using container for glass recycling: those containers are usually quite big and are made of steel often. Particularly if they're almost empty throwing in even a small glass vessel can cause a loud, booming noise. The containers are placed at several locations around a town often near residential areas. Hence a clearly visible hint is attached to them or on a seperate sign nearby that disposal during quiet times is prohibited. That meme is a bit ironic in view of the fact that in the night to New Year significantly more severe violations of law have happened many without even an attempt of prosecution. That's what the meme before the clown pictures was about.

Hahahahahaah no, a "Phasenprüfer" is a electrical wire phase checker. Our plugs have a phase pin and a neutral pin that is connected to ground, and that screwdriver-like device is used to check which of the two pins in an electrical outlet is connected to the phase (the "hot" wire) and which is connected to neutral/ground. It has a resistor in and a lamp, and when you touch it to the hot wire, a very small current flows through it and through your body and the lamp inside lights up. The current is enough to light the lamp but not enough to be dangerous to you.

The one with the noise pollution and glas recycling: Glas recycling bins in Germany are large metal containers standing at a public space (eg a parking lot). If you throw your bottles in, the glas cracking is in fact quite loud. However, this is ridiculous at New Years Eve, because with the fireworks, nobody will even be able to hear it, if they aren't standing directly next to you. Also, at least in my town, these bins are placed a bit outside of town, where you won't disturb someones sleep. (I mean at the park+ride parking lot for ride share meetings at the autobahn? It is never really quiet there. Also, if the supermarket is open until 10PM, there will be noise until 10PM. So, why don't recycling bottles at the bins at its parking lot?)

the blank meme about the 6th of January is something like an ongoing meme between german states. Not all national holidays are for all of Germany. Bavaria (Bayern) has the most of them (except for city of Augsburg who has 1 more holiday), closely followed by Baden-Württemberg that has a couple days less. For this particular holiday Sachsen-Anhalt has it too for some reason. It's a little hurmorous war between states. In the 2 southern states not only the number of holidays but also the living conditions in general, the education standard and the economy are the highest. Still, the rest of the country often is like 'well, we are hard working and don't need as many holidays yadda yadda'.

Or the wolf who eats all seven siblings and later the surviving kid cuts the stomach of the wolf open take the siblings out and put seven stones in there and sews it together again….. are you ready for these awesomely (cruel) stories? 😊

The problem with the german language and the gender is as follows: when you refer to a group of people and all of them are male, you'd use the same word that you'd use when you'd refer to a group consisting of some men and some women. When referring to a group consisting solely of women you had a special declination. That is considered a problem, because when for example a reporter would say "and the group of climbers broke a new record", in German that would mean that the group consisted either solely of men or of men and women. Basically you didn't know whether women played a role. It's like as if you'd say "congrats to the men involved, and maybe also to the women if any took part, who knows and who cares". Only if the group would consist solely of women you'd use a different term. This default wording that puts women into a backseat and downplays their role and presence is considered sexist. And since language shapes your thoughts, a sexist language can lead to sexist thinking. Because of that, many official channels are now more specific, using forms of the words that make it clear who was involved. And many people, especially conservatives, hate that.
@HappyBeezerStudios
@HappyBeezerStudios Жыл бұрын
Yup. Add to that the fact that there is no neutral "they" in german (the corresponding word is the same as for females and groups) makes it even harder to make ungendered references. But we're working on perfecting the art of making descriptions neutral by making them super convoluted. If nobody understands what it means, nobody can be offended.

Yes, we have those particular parcel services in germany as well, although i wouldn't say the word service in the same sentence as their company name. Strickly unbeatable is when they say on the letter in your Mailbox that they won't try to deliver a second time because they are environment friendly, but you have to take your car and pick it up somewhere far away from your home. The next village has 800 inhabitants. In a street at the edge of the village, where industrial buildings are located on one side and parking lots that are no longer used on the other side, there are containers for used glass. The next houses behind the containers are just in sight, but at least 200 meters (220 yards) away. I dared to dispose of my waste glass there in the middle of the puddle on Sunday. After five minutes an elderly gentleman with a dog passed me and mobbed me about the quiet hours. 😂 I hate this absolute bourgeoisie here sometimes. That can hardly have made noise and the Autobahn that passes less than a kilometer (0.6 miles) without speed limit made far more noise. GAAAH! 🤣 In my case, you can be happy if the delivery service Hermes does not throw the packages on the balcony. I live on the mezzanine floor at head height, but one day it rattled terribly on the balcony and I saw a Hermes parcel carrier running away to his car and on my balcony was a package for the neighbor ... it said "Fragile" on it and it was something made of glass, the neighbor was pissed off. 🤣 And I also regularly had packages for me on the balcony.

so the first post is about trans people. the flag is the trans flag. the thing you thought was a pen is a type of screw driver, the part you thought was an ink reservoir is part of a mechanism in it that lights up whenever the screw driver touches something electrical. it's basically used to quickly detect if things like sockets have electricity running through them. i'm guessing in german its name has the word phase, and so it phases in as in lights up for when it detects electricity. trans people are often said to be just going through a phase, the post is saying that if it's just a phase then why isn't the phase detector lighting up

Phasenprüfer indicates electrical current. Inside is a resistor and a lamp you need to hold the screwdriver part on it and your thumb on the other side. If you aren't well insulated the current runs through the phasenprüfer, hand, arm, torso,leg, foot and ground the generator is also grounded so it's a closed circuit and the lamp glows. If you are well insulated the lamp doesn't glow even if there is voltage. So it's called Lügenstift ( lying pen ) Phase is a word for live wire but also for phase.

It's a trans flag. The "phase" pun only works in German. What looks like a pen is a voltage checker, it tells if a mains wire is hot or not. It's literally called a "phase checker" because alternating current is produced as 3 separated voltages whose sine waves are 120 degrees apart. Those are called "phases". In a typical household you only have one of these phases, and that is what these things check.
@noahluppe
@noahluppe Жыл бұрын
Most houselholds do get 3 phases from the grid, some appliances like ovens or stoves also do actually need all three phases. How the outlets are connected can differ, you could use any of the three phases plus neutral and PE (without PE for special outlets is possible, but not widely used). The European grid is 230V, 3phase, 120° resulting in 400V combined. The american grid is technically 240V, 3 phase, 120°; but only one phase to residential buildings, that gets split to 2 120V, 180° phases, so normal outlets run between house neutral and one house phase at 120V, "high power" appliances run between the two house phases.
@rwsrwsrwt
@rwsrwsrwt Жыл бұрын
@@noahluppe Most stoves and ovens don't "need" three phases, they can also be hooked up to a single phase. There's usually a wiring diagram somewhere near the terminals on the rear side of the oven showing the different possible configurations. The load is just (internally) split into three "separate" circuits (e.g. two hotplates, the other two hotplates and the oven), each running on 230 V (phase to neutral). It just makes sense to use the three phases and a common neutral if that option is available.

00:20 When being not binary is just a phase why doesn't the phase checker indicate it? 02:00 A kebap in the Turkish language means any dish with meat. And what you see is a döner kebap - invented in Germany by Turkish immigrants, it is a Turkish bun filled with meat, vegetables, and (spicy) sauce. Gyros is the Greek knock-off. 02:10 His current club is in Saudi Arabia. Talking of dignity. The USA is deemed a cash-grab for aging football stars as the pro league is not up to par with most European and South-American leagues, 03:20 Throwing glass into a recycling container is prohibited in "quiet times" (10pm to 7am, and all day on Sundays and public holidays) and can be dined heavily. The irony is that on New Year's Eve most places have a deafening sound carpet because of the fireworks. Yet, the Ordnungsamt would be legally in its right to fine you for noise pollution because of throwing glass into a container. 04:45 "YTK" is a German YT channel with very infantile humor. Most people outside a certain demographic don't even know about it less than have seen videos. So normal people most likely wouldn't get the insiders and those who actually get them know exactly the character of the person in front of them. 09:45 January 6th (Epiphany) is a public holiday in the federal states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, and Saxony-Anhalt only. It is marking the end of Christmas time in Germany. As almost everything that is not deemed essential is closed between Christmas and New Year or Epiphany this year some people had to start working again on January 2nd - but not in the above-mentioned states.
