To put this out there, I disagree with the typical use of "over," so sue me...when I think about the phrase "putting someone over," I think about legitimate/established main event talent guys giving the up and comers "the rub" so to say, like when Triple H was losing to Shelton Benjamin or Undertaker losing to Lesnar (talking about his first run in WWE, not WrestleMania). I don't see Ryback in that position, which is why it sounds odd to me that he says he was putting Punk over in how I personally view the term and phrase. He seems to be confused that at the time he was a midcard jobber (his second feud with Punk where the bigger injury occurred). There was no putting over Punk when he was already over. Ryback's sudden push and crash in the main event (jobbing to Punk, Cena, Mark Henry, The SHIELD, Punk again, tag team hell with Axel) screwed him up, not to mention his year long losing streak at PPVs.

I hope he didnt injure anybody while shooting on the guy who has more talent and charisma in his staph infection than Ryback in his entire body

I liked pretty much everything in the first part of Punk's podcasts but I really did think the trashing of Ryback was very unnecessary and we can even see it in this comment section there's way too many marks arguing over it, I'm a huge Punk fan but he shouldn't have said what he said the way he said it. Ryback just recently returned and got well received as face again and Punk's words could alter that for him which would be so annoying, because there's always mark fans in the live crowds even. I do hope Ryback goes on to stay as a successful face and he just moves forward with things.

Only the biggest of CM Punk marks could find someway to bash Ryback because of this. Sure he might have botched a spot or two with Punk, but every wrestler has botched before. To think he'd intentionally injure the first person he was in a main event feud with is simply idiotic, though. Punk was fucked up for that one.

Despite being a Punk fan, I have a lot of time for Ryback. He was rushed into becoming a main event guy in order to give stupid Cena a heel opponent - this buried him and turned him into a joke (the whole Rybaxle thing), but he stuck around and is now back and doing well. I've always loved CM Punk because he was as legit as it got and wasn't afraid to make the show entertaining and cutting edge, as opposed to the shit we get fed constantly that is described by an out of touch Vince as 'entertaining'. He didn't leave because he was sulking - he left because of his health, and the bullshit thrown at him by the company during this time.

Ryback sounds like a really cool guy. He's trying to rise above it and stay on his own path. I kinda admire that.

It's no secret Ryback was a rough worker around the time he worked with Punk. He stiffed the fuck out of the Meathook Clothesline and gave more than one guy a concussion. But to say that he INTENTIONALLY went out of his way to injure anyone is stupid. Punk was a guy with multiple injuries all the time, just like anyone else that steps foot in a wrestling ring as much as he did, so yeah, he'd get hurt, and I have no problem believing he broke ribs working with Ryback. But like I said, Ryback has been around the WWE long enough and has been around the workers there long enough for there to have been people who could've said he went out of his way, at least enough to blacklist him, but as Ryback said, he's still there. I almost feel bad for Ryback because once again he's getting shat on for another thing out of his control that will probably hurt him at least in the immediate future (I blame the Goldberg chants more than anything for his PPV W-L record, because WWE was trying to distance themselves from that comparison but it never stopped). At least he's the bigger guy about it (yes, that was intentional) and is just going to let it slide because there is no winning in saying anything back about it. This is one of the reasons I have a hard time taking Punk's "I'm the victim" stories seriously, because he has always been a "everyone hates me, and no one likes me, so fuck them" type guy who doesn't like viewing any side that isn't his and just views everyone else but him as the bad guy. Alright, I don't know who is to blame in this, because... Well, could turn out that everybody in this situation was an asshole, but the Big Guy brings up an extremely valid point... He would not be in the ring, wrestling with the likes of Ziggler, Cena, Rollins and Rowan, if any of them had a lack of confidence in his abilities to wrestle without injuring, Firstly, because nobody would wrestle with him, and secondly, because WWE would risk him injuring any of their big players. With a number of their biggest names, like Bryan and Reigns, out on injury at the moment, there is no way they would risk putting out more.

Ryback was a promising up n comer when he first came in to the WWE, he was this seemingly indestructible force who would eventually find himself with title gold around his waist. But as has been the case on occasion in the corporation with other wrestlers his talent has been taken for granted and they made the grevious error of turning him in to a heel. Way too seen at least as another 2-3 years would have sufficed and he had made more of an name for himself before doing that. And I can't believe they allowed for him to be beaten by Mark Henry at WM 30. I was seriously surprised when that happen, especially considering Henry seemed to own his arse for the majority of the match. Although he's turned face again, his being the first superstar eliminated from John cenas team at this years Survivor Series may mean that his momentum as a potential major star has still been compromised.

We all know Ryback was pretty green in those days and are sure that he did injure Punk. However, I never for a second believed that he did anything to Punk on purpose. He's absolutely right that if he were a menace in the ring that he wouldn't be in the programs that he is currently in.

I like Ryback a lot more for this interview, the guys a beast and could have just said "Punk I'd rip your head off if you said that to me" but he didn't, he was the bigger man and just said "No, it's a lie but I wish him all the best" Can Punk fans really need to take a chill pill here, this guy doesn't give a fuck about any of you he's a sociopath and he readily admits he doesn't like fans. I cannot judge the rib-breaking kick thing, but I have seen the footage where Ryback was supposed to dump Punk on a table and he screwed up and mostly dumped him on concrete. Punk exaggerated, it was not totally on the concrete, he did hit the table partially, but not enough to break his fall very well. The table still broke and stuff but Punk did visibly twist, thus the pelvis-rotate comment.
