I'm convinced Sleep Token can't make a bad track. Every...single...one...just punches you in the face with angst, anger, sadness, or horniness.

This version of Vessel really just accentuates how talented of a writer he is. Just him and a piano and yet it seems like a brand new song. He didn't write the lyrics, and yet he feels them as if they were his own, and that is incredible. His covers don't miss and I hope that we can get more covers from him soon.

How the heck does this man just has the most heavenly voice on the planet?

I love the instant smile on both of your faces as soon as Vessel starts singing, it was one of those "oh *this* is where we're going with this and I love it" kinda smiles 😅

Kyle's face when the chorus hit the first time is my exact expression the entire first listen through of this cover lol! This one blew my mind first time I heard it and it still gets me in my feelings! One of the best covers I've ever heard!

To take a song with such hard hitting lyrics overshadowed by an upbeat melody and strip away the distractive instruments and make it so simple and intimate almost creates an entirely new song

I wasn't expecting this to be an Outkast cover, Vessel did an absolutely wonderful job on this song. The layering of his voice when singing hey ya was amazing and you could hear some of his British accent come through in certain parts as well. Every time I hear Vessel sing I'm amazed still at what he can do as a lyricist and musician, I'm so glad that Sleep Token is a part of my daily listening experience. I remember seeing this video and thinking "No, it can't be an Outkast cover". Well, here we are. Amazingly done.

The first time I heard this cover, I was absolutely flabbergasted! I'd just discovered Sleep Token, put on a Spotify playlist of them at work, and when this came on I didn't notice what it was right away. As soon as I did, it caught me so off guard I stopped working and just listened to make sure I wasn't crazy lol. Sleep Token absolutely knocked this cover out the park!

This is the 2nd cover of Hey Ya where the vocalist leans HARD into how sad the lyrics really are. The Blanks did an a capella cover thats almost a bridge in between Outkast and this. Heard it watching Scrubs and fell in love with the more meloncholy version. This hits even better.

Much like Eric, I was never an OutKast fan - but damn, if this version catches me in one of my sadgirl moments - I cry like a baby. There’s something so pure and so emotional about Vessel’s voice. I can’t wait for you to hear Whitney’s cover. I was weed whacking my lawn and burst into tears while that was on my AirPods. Who the hell knew?!?

It's amazing just how sad Sleep Token can make what was a very happy sounding song.

Man I remember them teasing this song as being premiered on bbc radio 1 rock show. I left somewhere early to make sure I was alone and able to listen to this. At first I was waiting for a drop to come and when it didn’t I was sad. Over time it has become one of my favorite songs by them.

Didn’t know I needed this song in my life… I’ve heard the original many times and it never registered like this… Only other cover that I’VE experienced that changed the way I looked at an original song was when Ronnie reimagined Last Resort… Would definitely like to hear more covers shaped differently to experience it new

I like to think of this and the falling in reverse cover of last resort. You don't really realize how heavy the lyrics and message of the song are until you hear it slowed down and sung with the emotion and feeling that matches the words.
