Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use kzfaq.infoUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

I had a DIY painting project that required me to dismantle and reassemble parts of 3 metal patio covers. Neighbor lent me her 1600 PSI Ryobi pressure washer. Never having used one before I watched a few KZfaq videos. Thought yours was the best. Told me EVERYTHING I needed to know. I was able to use the Ryobi without damaging it. Super easy to use; very effective on my patio components. Thanks for being thorough but keeping it simple. Great Job!

Thank You. I just purchased this unit 9/10/21 from Home Depot for exactly what you said the cost was. I wasn't sure about the different nozzles and your instructions were invaluable to me. This coming weekend my patio concrete deck is getting a overdue pressure bath. What was amazing to me was how much contractors wanted to charge me to power wash the patio deck. ( hundreds of dollars). Thank You Again!. s/n your property is gorgeous

Thank you for a great video! I read up on the smaller power washers and decided to purchase this one. I just picked it up at Home Depot today. I am terribly challenged when it comes to anything mechanical or technical!!! LOL!!! I immediately sought out KZfaq to lend me a hand. Your video is terrific! I just got this unit last week. I love it. Worked great on everything from siding to wood (haven't used it on concrete yet. It does have priming issues from time to time, which I attribute to a dip in power. Our house does that from time to time.

Thank you for this lesson now I can try to use it again. I tried the other day with both the yellow and black attachment nozzles, neither gave me any pressure. I knew I was doing something wrong when the turbo one didn’t shoot out water with pressure. I was trying to clean off a walker it didn’t do a thing. So now I have confidence to try again.

Thank you for a great review that is clear and understandable. I'm elderly, as in a very elderly lady who has borrowed and tried out power washers from 2 neighbors. One power washer was heavy and bulky, the other washer was a portable washer with a battery that lasted only 30 minutes and required filling a bucket several times just for those 30 minutes. I won't say more or a curse word might slip into this comment. Anyway, I'm seriously thinking of masking up and heading to Home Depot to try this out. Would be nice if I could get my porch cleaned before the pandemic is over!! LOL.

Happy I found your video because the instruction pamphlet left a bit to be desired for a very handy 74 year old woman to make sense of it all. I bought a reconditioned one for $49 w a 1 yr warranty. I read that you can use a pressure washer at 1000 PSI with a fan shape spray on decks using products like TREX. They used to caution against using on that type of decking, but scrubbing on hands and knees multi levels and 100's of square feet was not an option!! Thanks for breaking it down and making it all clear for me!

Incredible video, thank you! I was worried that mine didn't come with the proper screen for the garden hose attachment because it looked different than in the manual but this video showed me that the manual is just a bit out of date with their drawing of the screen in the manual

Hey, i've had this model for 3+ years now the 1600psi. They done some remodeling like i have a independent soap dispenser instead a tube that goes into another dispenser but that's about it. Its reliable, powerful. does the job and it's cheap.

Great review!! I just bought this ryobi pressure washer and thought I would look up an "unboxing" video before I put this bad boy to use. Its obvious that you put a lot of effort into putting this video together and I just wanted to tell you that you did a great job.. I like the part in the video where you brought up "elevating the power cord/extension cord union". Things like that are often overlooked and have potential to really injure or kill someone. Nonetheless you have a new Subscriber in me!

Thanks for confirming that the little white insert in the garden hose connector is a filter. I wasn't sure if that's what it was, since the instruction manual shows a different mesh screen there. I ordered the mesh screen from Ryobi and just received it, but it won't fit with the white filter insert already there. Just wanted to post this in case it helps anyone else. I guess they changed the type of filter they use after the manual was printed.

This was a very through video on this Ryobi 1600 pressure washer. I purchased one last year, and have not used it. After reviewing this video, I will certainly start using it. I watched another video that said never use a wan for pressure washing a drive way. He suggested using a surface cleaner first, but I checked and Ryobi doesn't have a surface cleaner. What is your thought on the surface cleaner? Keep up the great videos that make sense on how to use equipment. Thanks.

Mae Ryobi makes two surface cleaners. You can find them at Home Depot and on their website.

great review. is the handle supposed to vibrate a bit with the highest level pressure attachment? I recall the first time it didn't but the second time and after, it does. seems to have decent pressure. just making sure. thanks.

In my experience, most of the vibration felt is coming from the pump motor. The black nozzle has a rotary effect which imparts additional vibration.
