I previously used my home built Predator engine 3200 psi pressure washer but got tired of messing with the engine and the god damn pull start. Got this for its portability and I have been vary impressed with it. A little less foam output but still enough to do an effective wash. The most important factor was that the noise level was reduced to almost nothing [neighbors love that]. Also less chance of doing any considerable damage to my paint.

Agree I got it at $69 but will say the hose SUCKS! It’s so stiff you’ll knock the machine over’ I splurged on the $50 green hose from ryobi and it’s pretty terrible too’ Will say the newer 1800 psi package they changed hoses and give u a black one that’s actually flexible this time’

Hey Josh! I mentioned to you yesterday I did your GPM experiments with all my unmarked nozzles using my 3+ year old 1600 Ryobi, and I got the exact same GPM's you got. I should note that my original 15 degree Ryobi nozzle was marked as "15018" and it also gave me 4.5 quarts just like your old Ryobi nozzle does. @@imjoshv Pretty interesting considering your thoughts that it may be a way for them to bring a longer lifespan to the product. Ryobi has been focusing on American Production as well and their HQ is right next to manufacturing, specifically because they want the ability to be flexible and make quick changes on the fly. This change may indeed be an example of that, and something purposeful.

8:36 Great review and I know what I'm buying now, no point in going for a washer that's 3x the price if you're just washing your own car at home. The original nozzle was clearly 1500 psi though, not 1600. I'm still a little unsure if this unit is any different in terms of the motor from their 1800, 1900, and 2000 psi units, but I'm guessing not and you're only paying extra for the advertised psi while they change the nozzle size based on your other videos and those from obsessed garage.

Interesting that you didn't get the higher PSI. Your current results are what others have seen when testing.. I was always shocked by the higher number you experienced when you first reviewed this unit. The one you're testing today seems more on-par with what others are experiencing. Honestly on these cheaper units, I chalk it up to loose tolerances. I bet you could test 5 units and get 5 somewhat varying results. [edit] - aaaand you just commented on that. I should really finish your videos before commenting LOL

I have a question. I have the same pressure washer with a cheap amazon foam cannon and i didn’t change the orface to 1.1mm but no matter what i do i can’t get thick foam. I’ve even doubled toe recommended product and it’s still runny and watery. I’m using honeydew snow foam. Any tips? Thanks I’m advance.

1st One thing I always wondered is why it has a locking mechanism for not to shoot water and doesn't have it to shoot.
@cseevers1188
@cseevers1188 2 жыл бұрын
Safety. You’re supposed to lock it when not using it, especially when doing things like changing tips and stuff. Accidentally hitting that trigger while it’s near your face or pointing at another person or something would not be good. Same with locking it on. If it was locked on and you accidentally dropped it or something it could cause some damage.

Josh, I got this pressure washer during the sale recently and the 15 degree actually has the specs printed on the yellow 15 degree nozzle. It read "15018" so I am assuming it a 1.8 nozzle. Thanks for the heads up about the sale price of the pressure washer. I also have a gas pressure washer but I hate dealing with the gas.
@imjoshv
@imjoshv 2 жыл бұрын
Yep that should be 1.8 then!!! Thanks for pointing that out. I just checked mine and youre right it says the same. The old one that it used to come with that i was able to get 1800psi with did not have anything labeled on it

I'm a little upset in the vs. video the 1600 vs. 1900 psi you show that they both hold at 1900 psi and in this video you show that the 1600 only got to 1500 psi ... I was going to buy the 1800 for the little more power but when you show it only made 1700 i figured better off with the 1600 so i bought the 1600 thinking i was going to get more . It is what it is. I do appreciate the time and work you put in making theses videos

Just picked up this Ryobi for $100! They’re now selling them as 1,800 instead of 1,600 so like you said, must be a different nozzle. Are you planning to stick more MJJC Pro Cannons on your site? Waiting for the china import is sucking 🤣
