Those 12-24V fridge will happily runs off a 18V battery directly and be more efficient, Ryobi also came up with a new 12V power source which will also work but have some small loses from the DC-DC converter

Ryobi makes great attachments for the I8v system. I like the lantern, radio w/ usb ports, fans, and chainsaw the most.

brilliant! I use my 18v inverter for all kinds of things. I can run a full size fridge off the 20v battery and 300W inverter (when the power goes out)

Im a fan of the underdog. Ryobi has great options to offer.

Great vid. I would never have thought that a little 18v battery with the 150 watt inverter would’ve run that fridge. I’m Now thinking about buying the same little ryobi inverter. Thanks for sharing mate 😃👍

The fridge is designed to take 150-180W 12V input, so it's specifically well suited to this task.

I do the same with my Acopower Lion cooler I get about 1:45 minutes running none stop on a 4amp hour ryobi battery. I'm sure when the fridge has reached the desired temperature it will last way longer as the compressor will cut on and off to maintain temperature just haven't tried it. Awesome video tho.

Why not use the Ryobi 12v adapter beside the 240v.. you will.get more run time

Lots of these style coolers with 12v cord. I wonder if the run time would be better with the Ryobi 18v 120 watt push start inverter that has a 12v out. (Not the newer 150 push start)

Hi mate, I’ve done this setup for my portable camping Rovin fridge. Running thing is though that the inverter seems to switch itself off and go red once the fridge has cooled down

Have you come accross this issue at all?

Figure how many watthours in your 18v battery (18v X 9Ah = 162Wh). Subtract inverter losses and seems like it won't run very long. And if it happens to hit a hard stop and shuts down the inverter, how long before you notice? Might have better luck if the fridge is flexible to run off 12v or 24v D.C. to just skip the inverter and wire the D.C. input directly to the battery?

these fridges can run for 10H with a 172Wh battery if kept at around 38F ... they run for about 4H on the same battery if kept at -4F

I’ve got a 20 litre kings fridge and my inverter over loads after a min

No luck for me. I have the 20 litre Kings, so smaller and same inverter. resets every time compressor kicks in

This inverter have at least 2 revisions/manufacturer (doesnt appears to be made by TTI), iirc the newer one made in Vietnam (model # ending with VN) works better
