Can you guess if these fighting game combos are going to kill?
"Will it Kill?" is a show about funny fighting game clips, throwing rocks, betting fake points, not knowing what the gauges do, and useless trivia. We'll show a fighting game clip and pause it on one of the hits of a combo. You have to vote on whether the combo will kill or not. There are no drops, Time-outs don't count, and we try to get as close to optimal as possible.

27:47 Real game btw. You can play an Olive crewmate with a Potemkin Buster and an Android 16 dunk against a Pink crewmate with an air tank that propels them up and down. Everyone's normals are the same, but each character has a unique special move that drastically changes how they play in combo variety and neutral.

I went from 7-4 after nailing the first No in the second half, straight to 9-11. Almost every other 2nd Half wrong, Yeses and Nos alike. But I bet correctly on the P4 Arena clip so really it's all worth it anyways (and went positive on Channel Points besides.)

I know this is gonna be a little late but to answer Sajam's kinda funny question on why Breakdance does so much damage To put it simply, most dynamic Break moves like that are called Power moves in the dance scene. ...so it's at least figuratively fitting. LOL Edit: the move Jaime does here (10:10) is essentially a Windmill, which classifies as a Perpetual Explosion, something akin to a Headspin would be a Sustained Explosion. Named Explosions due to the fierce outward strength and power needed to execute the movements.

Final Score: 10-10 For a second I thought I was gonna lose my grocery money, so coming out even is a win in my book. My personal gambling addict theory: fan parodies/low budget games tend to be made by fighting game fans who love long, complex and high-damage combos. Professional devs tend to have more restraint when balancing their combo system. This is how I guessed right on the Among Us game and the last two clips

Man, it really is the spooky season - I did surprisingly well in the first half only to be betrayed by my good old Daemon Bride and Nitroplus in the second one. And I'm more than okay with that, because that Ethica combo was insane! To explain, she used a counter assist and an assist that hits both players, allowing the latter to activate the former for some massive combined damage. And here I was, thinking the best thing you could do with Sakura is to cancel a move as an impromptu RC... On a related note, maybe I shouldn't focus on the assists so much, because I was 100% sure Saya would kill with the Carol assist equipped - only for her to never call her. That's just how it goes sometimes, huh.

To elaborate further, Mugen's attack also blows back both players to the wall on hit, or guard crushes on block. So Sakura coming in with the counter stops that, allowing Ethica to actually properly continue the combo, on top of the increased damage. In theory, I knew Mugen has some utility when it comes to activating counter moves, like Anna's Lethal Blaze or Muramasa's ground super as well, but I've never actually seen it pulled off in a match. Likely since other assist set-ups are easier to do, are less situational, and have less risk. As for Saya with Carol, yeah, that seems to be a stickler for most reactions I've seen. A shame that clip didn't go down too well.

"could it have killed" would be a neat inclusion foe a single player mode in fighting games. like you know how a lot of fighting games have those combo challenge modes? what if you did like... that but it's like "ok now make it kill" like yeah technically +r already has that obviously because that's what you think in the replay playback mode anyways but also though like combo challenges are fun and its not much different than regular training mode anywas so like i think there's a reason to include it so long as developers are willing to actually build that kind of sick nasty rollback that +r has

Elvin could have Bursted out of that Robo Ky combo, but it's impossible he or anyone else would have known that in the moment. If you take it frame-by-frame in the video, he has access to burst for 3 frames during hit 63.
