I did exactly what this guy did, but the battery is slightly larger than the top opening of the compartment. Making it physically impossible to lift out. 2011 RZR 800.

The old battery was the same way could barley a finger in there to get it.

Please don't start with the positive when disconnecting! First negative (-) and the circuit is open then positive (+). When connecting first positive (+) then negative (-) to close the circuit securely. And also you guide the + cable at the sharp edge of the bracket this is dangerous especially with a RZR where the battery might be shaking. This could lead to a nice fire.
