A colossally cool review of an absolutely awesome action figure!

In my humble opinion, a Monsterarts figure either has to be film accurate or stylized well as monsterarts does. Since this isn’t really accurate paint wise, it still has to look good. This still at least in my opinion looks pretty good

I’ll admit that it looks better than I thought it would but I could tell from before this even came out that the paint job wasn’t accurate.

It is sorta accurate if you say it's just a figure of him when he's preparing to let out atomic pulses, when the orange and red glow DOES resemble the paint job on this, rather than his appearance near the end when he steps on Ghidorah.

Solid review as always chief, I don't regret picking one up a few weeks ago from a local toy collector/hobby shop, but I agree this wasn't the best they could have done. Also, something I noticed about a day after I had mine, and your shot makes it pretty clear to see at 8:45, burning Goji's snout seems, shorter, smaller then on the OG 2019 figure. I thought it might have been just mine but after going back and looking at plenty of other videos and pictures looking for it it seems to be the case with all of them. It's noticeable if you look from a top down view as well when you have them side by side.

I have a neca and while I would’ve preferred getting the shma. The burning NECA Godzilla 2019 is still awesome. I just wouldn’t wanna play $100 for the shma

I dug the review and I do like my Burning. However I think the paint on the Neca was better. And the packaging on this wasn’t damaged like “blue berry” so I was very glad for that.

Personally I think having some more black dry brushing would have looked a bit better. It has the firey glowing effect, but it doesn’t have that almost molten magma look of the movie. The figure itself is still cool though. If the black dry brushing was more like the shoulders and belly all throughout the body it would have looked better, but the black isn’t bold enough to make the glowing effect pop out like it should

I love my original 2019 kotm sh monsterarts Goji. I really wish they did justice to burning Godzilla here. I agree with you they should've taken a Standard 2019 figure and just touched him up with the glow and maybe throw in just a little bit of translucent bits. I do think his tail looks nice, in the right light that is, but otherwise he's just way too inaccurate. I think it's a very small step above "blueberry" Goji, but is so much more disappointing because it could've been amazing. I hope eventually they reissue the whole line and improve on their mistakes. 2019 original Godzilla is so close to the perfect figure and at $70 to me its very worth it compared to alot of sh monsterarts. Ghidorah I actually cancelled preorder for because of the lack of stability and lackluster wing articulation, though he is still an awesome display piece and not nearly as bad as these alternate color Gojiras. Rodan is pretty awesome, not too much to improve on besides accessories imo. Mothra is unfortunate and deserves a reissue. She should have better articulation, better stability/come with a better stand, definitely have a larva and maybe even cocoon accessory. If she had her stinger too that'd be awesome. I'm hoping they knock Godzilla vs Kong out of the park, and maybe even offer us some other kaiju namely scylla(the spider), the behemoth mammoth looking thing, and especially a male and female muto.

I will still think they team at SHMA/Bandai, tried to come up with a Burning Godzilla designed, and then someone poorly opened a bag of crushed up imported American Cheetos over the back of an original 2019 KOTM Godzilla, then they poorly blew it towards the front, but somehow left a plastic bag over the head that wasn’t secured properly, and that they didn’t have enough excess powder and gave up on his front torso.

3:16 I think what they were pulling in this burning godzilla is when godzilla actually explode. If you pause on that part in the movie, it is burning like this.

I don't think they should keep accuracy that much with burning godzilla. I mean the paint application is really interesting and dinamic and the details are amazing. It's has a flame's color palette , it's nicely sculpted, it's a burning godzilla. You can't really mistake it for something else.

There’s a bootleg version of Burning Godzilla which came with hand accessories and atomic breath, and you may not wanna get it because it’s unlicensed and the official markings are removed

Eventually there will be a comic-con explosion G19. Spoilers: this figure will get an alternate jaw and atomic breath and so will that figure, which will have the same unpainted colour plastic as the CC boom-boom Heisei Godzilla.

I'm very pleased with my figure, it's a wonderful little figure even if it's the same damn sculpt as the regular 2019 figure. The only issue I have with my figure is the jaw, it won't close all the way.

Out of all 4 2019 figures, in which order would you rate them from best to worst?

Long story short, nice figure, nice paint, just isn't very accurate and has no accessories. I'd say 8/10. Nice figure, just not accurate at all. I'd say better than NECA's burning 2019.

Sort but that's how Japan work on there figures most of the time because Japan likes to add little touch on there figures to make the figures more interesting! Which I don't like either. Don't know if your familiar with other Godzilla figures like marmits but marmits Godzilla figures are really colorful and marmit that toy company really add there own Godzilla color choices and that's what I feel that Japan they do to every toy line most of the time anyways is adding there own touch to make the product more colorful even tho is not accurate to the movie! God sake lol look at ah monster arts Godzilla 2001 gmk recolored version his spikes are bright blue and white even tho the Godzilla GM in the movie his spike glow is just white no blue anywhere just barely. So yea it's Japan trying to make the figurines more colorful and brighter to pleased the eyes that's it.....
