He can’t be a PM. Capturing people’s sentiments is entirely different level of skillset. Jaishankar is excellent technocrat & suits best in his field of expertise. Modi knows how to retain people’s attention. Modi isn’t a technocrat but Modi is a very well judge of characters, hence look at the cabinet that Modi has selected- Jaishankar, Gadkari, Vaishnaw, Mrs Nirmala, Now in 3rd term i hope Mr Chandrashekar joins the team. Thats the job of Leader: Capture Sentiments + Select Team(or Cabinet).

Guys, yes this is called true journalism. Yes you are right. But you should have to know that he is a minister as well as technocrat means he will not give any statements which will damage relationship with countries and damage India's image. Diplomat is someone who will always give balance answer and if he thinks that some questions should not answer because it may not good for india then he will be silent on it. He is a really a good diplomat.

@@nikhil0029 jaishankar was able to recall so much information which happened so many years ago with dates and accuracy. It should be appreciated. Otherwise he can make jalebi out of this questions and answer them without revealing anything like other diplomats do. And if one statement of jaishankar he mistakenly gets his fact wrong. There will be thousands of clip on social media criticizing him. As you can even see in the promo of this podcast how cleverly it is cut and edited to make it look like jaishankar is stammering at each question of Sourabh while reality is quite different. And also some journalists also tends to memorize what questions should they need to ask.
