We have 30+ years old custard apple farm. We have balanagar and anona. Harvesting is a big issue. In 4 to 3.5 acera 1100 trees. The NMK variety taste completely different from the traditional plant. It taste sar and salty. Whereas balanagar taste sweet. Also the shell life of balanagar is small where as NMK has a good shell life. Natural fertiliser helps a lot. The milibug is due to soil structure and tree weakness. Make soil good and plants strong you will not see milibug. Very good productive in custard apple. Marketing is very difficult as we get 40% small size which cost 20-25rs per kg. and only 20% good size which can go to 40-50rs per kg or even more than that. Very less managment is required. You require water in May and June if you want to early fruit. Or else we can totally depend on rains. This can grow in any soil.

What if soil is okay but weather or climate doesn't suits.? I am from Punjab region and currently all leaves of my custard apple are dried. Would they regrow or not.? Does this plant tolerate extreme fog or cold weather like 2 degrees??

@@gandharaorganicfoods u can use organic fertilizer the NPK formula, cow 🐄 dung , earthworm fertilizer this is best earthworm fertilizer like for a big tree of 4 years u put 5kg of cow 🐄 dung but earthworm fertilizer is best because u require only 1kg for that same plant. Also u can make slurry of cow dung 10kg++ channa daal powder 5kg++ urine of 🐄 cow 5 liters ++ jagger 2kg if you want please search on youtube the formula of slurry best organic products And you have to dilute it with water when you are giving water to custard apple plants.

@@MySpace_Quotes so check for all varieties we had planted Bala-nagar variety and Anona variety so at that time almost 30 years back these were varieties available. So check all varieties and do a analysis. Right now in market this NMK variety is also famous but don't go blindly Eat the various varieties check quality taste and what people will like. NMK variety has big fruit but taste is not good. Where as Bala-Nagar variety fruit is medium size but sweet in taste. Drawback of custard apple is Harvesting like you have to check each and every fruit before cutting it from the tree like its good and ripe. Also second drawback is custard apple shelf-life is of 1 to 2 days. Depending upon how fruit is ripe. NMK variety shelf-life is good. But taste is sar and very diffrent then traditional custard apple. This depends like in your area what is requirements. If govt of India 🇮🇳 horticulture is able to develop new variety of custardapple good 👍 in taste good shelf life of 5-7 days then 😋 😀 best fruit. Export wise really good as we never exported because of very small shelf-life.

यह नही बताया कि पत्ते झाडणे के बाद अगर फल नही लगे तो डायरेक्ट दुसरे साल पत्ते झाडणे के बाद ही इसमे फल लगते है... बहोत कॉम्प्लेक्स खेती है इसकी खेती
