Great video. Wish this was around when I started playing. A point you didn't stress on but showed is extending the combo timer by knocking barrels and by picking up items between attacking enemies on screen. The combo timer may also be extended by holding the enemy. Just standing there with them extends the timer. This helps Floyd especially. Floyd can walk with the enemy to extend the combo timer. He has a slow walk so this helps to lengthen his combos.

Great tips! Im thinking of doing a combo specific video would go in depth of how to extend it but also the combo point system mechanic which is PhD math level to me at least lol

Thank you for sharing ;-) Every people who play this need to watch this. I remember Final Fight 2 in online gaming. Difference is when your hit increases by hitting enemies, the score also multiplied, so there is no cash out in scoring even if you get hit, and the score can even reach millions.

I really hope the combat system in the new Turtles game is as deep as SoR4. It's also great that they're close to finishing some DLC for SoR4.

Excellent video! I'm surprised you consider the Donovan part of the Dojo easier than the Galsia part.

Thanks! Donovan's Dojo is harder for me (typical Donovan jab ruins it for me often) but the Galsia part by itself don't give you an out of this world combo, I think it's just a few damage points shorts

I always drop the galsia part! I find the donovans easier, especially because of Victor and Luke’s strategy of staying the in the bottom left of their section 😂

So, the damage you do is the key for the points you get. I was extending combos over already dead baddies and avoiding using holes/cliffs

Yeah exactly I thought the same as first but beating those dead bodies doesn't give you more points - it just feels nice sometimes lol

@@BtwistGaming all SoR4 chars are in the top of the list. SoR1 are great too. SoR2 chars have some issues, the same with SoR3 chars, except Zan You could base the tier list on how easy is to play the game with certain chars. Invencible blitzes, crowd control etc

@@BtwistGaming We're still working on improving! Just uploaded a 533k run, we're gettin better :) We've developed some better combo tech that recovers a lot of green health so we can abuse specials more. You guys going to be doing another coop stream soon?

Nice vid once again guys. I've been wondering, but if time is a big factor... Would it be best to just avoid the retro stages by zapping the arcade cabinets? Obviously chaining a long combo is worth more than completing one retro stage, but is there a situation where it would help?

yeah that's a good question - actually I believe you get more points for the retro stages combos than you would lose in term of time bonus, so I would say they generally help but I need to test it. The only time I would not go is if I'm on a perfect and don't want to risk it (stage 8 for instance)

There's a lot of misinformation and unclear requirements I keep finding all over the place, but this list you have in the video seems on point. Thanks again for the great videos!

The only level me and my gf need now is y tower in hardest and mania. Driving us insane. Keep getting 200 or 300 points behind the S rank. :(

Thanks for everything guys! About a month ago, I got S rank for every mania with axel. One question though... Why is Arcade so stingy with points? Same difficulty requires way more points than individual stages.

Ahhh so good bro! Well done! Not sure but in the s rank video the points are explained. When you get those big combos and perfects on the easier stages you can make up the points to get the s rank for arcade even if the harder stages don't go well

@@BtwistGaming I'm just going to rant and moan, but I tried! I lose so much on everything after pier because I beat those borderline S rank. I'll have to watch more full streams. When is the next stream by the way? LoL perfects btw,....I'd be lucky if I got two perfects in a row.

Haha yea its a struggle to be fair. You can see when i solo stream its a mix od A rank and S. That being said im more certain i can get it consistent if im not streaming. If you can get good out of this world combos on the first 4 you know you are on your way. If not probably restart. I think sunday and monday will be the next.

@@BtwistGaming yeah I'm gonna hit that bell icon. I'd like to see it with axel without some hyper twitch streamer doing full combos through stages. I'm just looking at points breakdown table for each stage, and unless my math is wrong, 36k w/o bonus for pier is ridiculous. Especially, considering the individual stage requirements are no where near that. I just hit a major brick wall... 😭

Skytrain is great for those who have problems getting S rank. Floyd is perfect for it. Just spam that (ps4 Triangle button) and make those combo's count. Somewhere midlevel use your star attack while as many as possible enemies are in the screen and you'll get a 100 combo. Make sure to bank it and defeat the boss with triangle button spamming. You'll have S rank in no time

I have a question. I've seen people doing 4 player that have minimum skill and still get S rank. Does that mean it's easier to achieve S rank doing multiplayer?

Interesting. The more players there are the different the play style will be. If everyone is on the same level of playing and they have a gameplan then i would say yes. But its get pretty crazy with more people because the enemies become less predictable

Hey this is great! My friend and I are also Axel and Cherry coop players, so we'll definitely be getting a lot of tips from your videos on improving our score. Our current best is 460k, so we're far behind you guys. We have a (unlisted public) video of a recent run we'd love if you could give some tips for improvement on, and it also shows a lot of cooperative juggling techniques unique to these characters that would help out a lot with boss fights in your runs too. KZfaq id 7XOPUbOeyNk for a cut of just the boss fights if you want to see how we do those, or FJYTjArEG14 for the whole run.

@@BtwistGaming Awesome :) Neither of us is active streamers, so we probably wouldn't do a stream on our own, but if you wanted to do a video chat of gameplay or something we'd be happy to trade tips, you could show us some of the stuff you do to keep your scores high, and we'd love to explain some of the building blocks and tactics we base our coop juggles on

I had to try so hard lol breaking all combos, dying a lot... What helped me is in story mode you can trade extra stars for less points that sealed the deal 🤣

If u start the story for the first time, or maybe start a new game, go to pause menu and select retry(choose assist), and if u select any of them then u will get an instant D no matter how u finish the stage. Hope it helps :D
