sonio: opponents getting bad hands and plays first other mtga non spenders: opp goes 1st 90% of the time and plays first meanwhile me: dies on turn 4, opp with perfect hand 75% of the time

Why do you play flanker? Just to exile the graveyard?

It's a great card against graveyard decks but it's not horrible against fast decks like mono-red you run it out as a flash blocker that lets you scry 2 and get some life. The big deck it hates on though is the Temur Analyst decks that really need their graveyard to win.

Yes exactly, the graveyard destruction is good vs certain difficult matchups, the heal and scry are good vs the rest to make your draw more consistent and heal a bit

You have to throw some graveyard hate into your deck so the matchmaker doesn't make you play against the stupid Aftermath Analyst deck.

Old deck yeah. I think it just have Three steps ahead as a new card and the rest is old.

A pro tournament back in kaldheim standard, I think, was won by Dimir Rogues with no new cards from the last 1 or 2 extensions. Sometimes new decks aren't the best
