I hope you read the comments. I finally got 100 rds through my FPC, so I broke it down to field strip and clean it. Thanks to your video, it was a piece of cake. It really wasn't that dirty, but I wanted to clean it anyway. I'm a member of an FPC page on FB, and I recommended your channel to the other members. Your vids are a lot of help without the BS on some of the other channels. Also, I haven't seen anyone else do the videos of the FPC that you have made. Thank you for the info you have provided.

Superb video. Steps are clear, presented well, nuances of the disassembly are articulated effectively. I was able to get mine disassembled and cleaned easily. I like the fact that this is to the point, no unnecessary preamble, specific notables highlighted, and was very educational. Glad I saw this video and took mine apart as mine was charcoal black all over the front of the bolt assembly. I knew that blowback guns get dirty but man, this was a new level of dirty - only after a little over a hundred rounds or so.

One thing he does not mention is that you need to have the rifle cocked to fire (and the trigger safety on so it won't fire) before you take apart, otherwise the hammer gets in the way when you want to put it all back together. If this happens to you, reach in and push the hammer back till it locks onto the seer... then it will reassemble ok. Some people say they use a dowel to do that but if you use one too thin, it gets jammed in there funny... so use a dowel that is almost the same size as the chamber... or your finger if it is long and strong enough... (won't go any further on that... ).

@kevinegan65 Жыл бұрын
@@hollowpointdefense I took mine apart last week and put it back together…very easy, until I got to the range and realized that the mag would not go in unless the bolt was latched back. Once the mag was latched in the bolt was hitting something and wouldn’t pass the magazine to chamber a round. At home I again took it apart and realized that the hammer had fallen fully forward towards the mag well. The bolt can be installed but the magazine would push the hammer up in the way of the bolt. Without further investigation yet I can only assume that it’s possible that I triggered the hammer forward with the bolt removed. I needed to get my chubby pinky in to the ejection port and push back as far as I could on the hammer so that the bolt can install on top of it.
@hollowpointdefense Жыл бұрын
@@kevinegan65 I have seen this issue with a couple people that dry fire their gun when it is empty (leaving it in a fired position). I am not sure why they do, they just do. I have never dry fired mine to let the striker/hammer stay forward, no point in it. I treat it like my AR, leave the gun cocked (hammer back) and disassemble it. I never manipulate the trigger when disassembled either. My FPC will disassemble with the safety engaged or not engaged.
