I got a new complete bolt, buffer and buffer spring.

Not sure what the previous buffer weight was, the replacement buffer is 10.49oz.

Hey HPD, I got mine back on the 12th. It took a good three weeks all together. So thats not to bad. I was not smart enough to mark my bolt. It looks like it was fired, Dirty, and my buffer has a hole in it also. Thanks for the sequential videos, I have been waiting for one from you. You did not let me down. thanks

Mine came back with mostly all new internals (as seen in the vid). My buddy is bringing his to me to ship back to S&W. I am going to compare his rifle to mine.

Your FPC and Response vids are a godsend Without them, I would be in the weeds Trying to understand the issues with these weapons. I am still waiting for mine to be returned. Hopefully it will be this week. Between the bolt issue on the FPC and the response recall , I hope that these issues will be straightened out once and for all.

They will work themselves out at some point.... It will cost S&W quite a bit financially.

I dropped off my response to Fedex 4/2/24 and received it back 4/16/24. Doesn't appear they installed anything new as others have said. I'm a reloader so I took 2 9mm cases and resized them and installed new primers. I inserted the first case in the chamber and released the bolt, pulled the trigger and it fired. I took the second case and installed it into the chamber and released the bolt, pulled the bolt back about 5/8" and pulled the trigger. The case didn't fire. I released the bolt and and pulled the trigger and it fired. So it appears they fixed the issue. I removed the buffer and spring and weighed them. The buffer weighed 8.9oz and the spring weighed 1.9oz. Thanks for all your informative videos on the FPC and Response. I own both plus the first two 9mm metal pistols and the new 22 Magnum pistol.

Where it is marked 9MM on the bolt you will see this: -9MM- . There will be a dash on each side of the 9MM stamp.

I haven't got to use one yet. One day I will, just not willing to spend the money on it yet.

@@Jerd27 I called S&W to inquire about it and they couldn't say why. I tried to get the flat faced buffer, but it is a restricted item. So they are sending me a new buffer spring.

How long was your return time after you sent it in?

Picked up from me on 2/26/2024. Arrived S&W 2/28/2024. Shipped back to me on 3/5/2024. Arrived back to me on 3/12/2024. Just under 2 1/2 week turn around.
