After leaving Greyton we took the 5km road to Genadendal to do some exploring of the Moravian Mission Station. This was the first mission station in South Africa and was started by George Schmidt in 1738. It's very interesting to note that the first Teachers Training College in South Africa opened its doors in Genadendal on 12 September 1838. Over a period of 90 years, a total of 236 men and women have qualified here as teachers. Today, the building is used as a Cultural History Museum. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #genadendal #moravian #missionstation #teacherscollege
