I haven't actually had that issue yet. But if I run into it, I definitely will. However, to be honest, there's probably much better qualified KZfaqrs for this. I highly recommend Kevin from Junkyard Digs and Junkyard Mook for this. He has a degree in engineering and has a great way of breaking down complex issues into layman's terms. His friend Luke from Thunderhead289 is great at these tasks as well. If I had to give any advice, I would just say to grab a pinout online, test it for a power issues. Also, some penetrant oil may help. I just wouldn't advise trying to work the needles back in forth as I am afraid my advice may cause you to possibly strip the teeth on the gear(s)

If you are talking about the ones that hold the face to the ribbon connectors, they're pressure fit. So a little pressure and a lot of patience.
