Composting is one of the most natural processes on the planet... so why does it feel so confusing sometimes? Even though I've dabbled in compost for YEARS, there were certain aspects that always felt elusive... until now!

What a great, and inspiring, episode. I do compost but reminders are always useful, especially being reminded to slow down and not be expecting quick results. She seems such a friendly and vibrant person too, she really put a smile on my face.

The job of turning composters was actually got me looking at doing the deep litter method in a chicken run. That way, I’m throwing all my compost materials in the chicken run essentially, and the chickens are actually digging through it, and turning it for me throughout the season.

I dig a hole in my raised beds and drop in my kitchen scraps along with toilet paper rolls then throw the dirt back over. I have lots of worms and beautiful soil. I also throw autumn leaves on my beds each year.

What is the best method for a small scale home for all the food scraps/chicken manure…where to put the scraps from the kitchen to the container or pile

Hey 👋 Guys ❤ I need my gardening videos to get me motivated !!!! Compost isn’t something I know a lot about. I’m very interested to know more about it all ❤ I have worked in gardening 👩‍🌾 sales and worked in my garden every single year!!! Landscaping flowers and how the birds and animals will drop seeds. I feed the birds treats and food and than they get extra things to eat ❤. Birds will reward us with seeds it’s really amazing!!! The whole process of it all. It’s hard to know what to use. What I use to use which worked. What I use now works. It’s like what is the best and best for food and flowers. I was TRYING to get the gardening 👩‍🌾 this year AGAIN and I just couldn’t juggle it all. I may have a fall spring garden 🪴. It is so frustrating and upsetting because I look 👀 forward every year to have my spring and summer garden 🪴. Dumpster Diving is sickening all of the things that go to waste and how can I recycle ♻️ things instead of going into the landfills. It is so shocking all of the things gets wasted.
