i caught a 31.5" mackerel off the jetty the other day using 30lb mono leader

in Hawaii we use Tabi's (felt bottom neoprene boots) they work great for walking on any surface covered in Limu (seaweed). A good pair usually cost around $40. Use regular shoes or slippers to get to the spot then slip on the tabi's once at spot. The felt bottoms don't last very long if you use them for walking to and from fishing spots.

You might want to add the new Live Target Swimbaits to your tackle box. I have been slaying everything from snook, jacks, reds and monster specks on the scaled sardine and mullet swimbaits in the 1oz and 2oz sizes in Port O'Connor the past few days.

On the white rod, what is the lure rating? Also why do you prefer 7'2 ft rods vs a longer or shorter rod?

Thanks Mark I will buy a pair..This past weekend I slipped on algae rocks I slipped hard on my ass..My lure got caught inbetween the rocks..I went down to the rocks to free my Lure I got my Lure back but ouch that hurt..lol

They'll be there year round, they start to migrate once the water gets cold in the winter.

They’re doing great. I’ve lost only one cleat so far. Be sure to check them before each trip. I’ve had some of them come loose and needed retightening.
