Hey y’all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week’s episode our host, Ally Yost, is joined by special guest and friend, Emy Moore! Emy shares with us her testimony and all the ways the Lord, her King, changed and refined her life for His glory. He took her from the bottom of the pit and into His palace with Him.
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord." Psalm 150:6

God is literally working through Emy. She touches the youth in a way our elders have a hard time doing. As a 23 yr old who is starting a journey to read the entire bible she is such an inspiration. Like I can still do the cool things I love and still walk in faith. Being a follower of Christ doesn't have to be "bland" and Emy is such an embodiment of that in a way I've never seen before

Emmy, the anointing of the Lord is so on you with teaching His word. Just wow wow wow!!! Praise God for how He took what the enemy meant for evil and turning it for the good of those who love Him, for everyone who is encouraged by God through you. You are so on fire for God and I pray that fire, love and reverence you have continues to glorify Him and encourage your fellow siblings in Christ. So so so much love for you my sister in Christ

Honestly brought tears to my eyes. A specific point when Emy brought up her public speaking abilities and how she always used to speak in competitions and in class and what not honestly moved me. As a public speaker myself I feel something from the Lord encouraging me to speak despite my generally quiet demeanor

I relate to Emy, my parents never divorced but I wish they did, I went through a lot of torment, pain family wise alone not even mentioning school on top of that. It was isolating and suffocating. I had to learn and unlearn things about what I went through in my adulthood. I have been on a healing journey for 2 years and I've been on my walk with Christ for a year and some months , I knew of him all my life, just never had a true relationship and knowledge of who God is . God has truly answered prayers. I still live with my dad so it's hard a lot of the time, but, I am older and I can defend myself and not react as much. Through a lot of prayer i've seen a lot of changes within myself and my surroundings. I can't change my dad and it's not my job, but, I can lean on Jesus, prayer and good coping skills. The Lord is at work in my life, through and in me and I am thankful.

Please preachhhh!!! Yes on the stereotypes of what humans made not God. God is bigger than anything we could even imagine why would we hold him back when we can’t even fully understand him fully bc he is soooo Great and sooo vast!! Praise God! The devil wants to make it seem like all these things are humans no it is GODSSS!! I love y’all for stating this. Don’t let humans emotions hold down how big our God is!

13:17 Felt this sooo much. Through my teenage years I wanted to go to sleepovers and basically do kid stuff (go to the mall, girls day with my friends) but my dad would always be .... What if this happened.... And it would always make me think something bad was going to happen if I went out but then again you can't blame the person but the spirit behind that fear. Now I'm unlearning to always think something bad will happen and it's definitely a process.

I love and miss them as I should but it's just their spirit that they live by I will always love them individually but not for what they are doing now

I also had fear instilled deep in me as a kid and teenager so I heavily relate to that! I was so scared of everything after like age 9/10 and started getting horrible anxiety. I never drank or did any drugs until I was 18/19 bc I went to college and was away from my parents, but I was terrified to do anything before then. My parents always had the best intentions but for some reason I just had that fear instilled in me bc of their tone or how they would say things. It’s all very interesting

I wanna start off by saying that I'm very sorry that Emmy had to go through that with her parents, specially when they started getting triggered by her and then took their anger out on her as a result. This is why having Jesus at the center of your relationship and your marriage is so important. Many people will unfortunately make mistakes and have children with other people who don't have the same values and morals. That's when things like this happen where they eventually split and, in a way, regret having kids with that other person because that child is forever binding them together. In turn, they get angry because of the decisions they made and don't know what to do about it.

Amen to the point about giving the World too much credit and us needing to take back what God created and reclaiming it!! I can not stand when people say the world is Satan's. No!!! The world belongs to the Children of God!! He gave it to US and that's why Satan hates us! He wants what God gave us and tries to claim it has his!! Nope, get behind us Satan! We are reclaiming ALL that GOD gave HIS CHILDREN!!!

I get why Emy is defending her parents and it's something we do if we are victims of our parents and so it's hard to say these things out loud but lets be real. Some of these things, especially when her parents punished her after her suicide attempt deserve jail sentencing. Period. You are supposed to provide a safe home by law. The fact that they were mad and punished her after she was an endangerment to herself is wild. They should have immediately gotten help. Anything other than that, and especially what her parents did deserve some kind of governmental punishment.

hey ally ! I love ur podcast and I’ve listened to almost every episode! I learned a lot from ur podcast and I wanna thank u for following the LORD and making these episodes God centered, others focused ! ⭐ But I do notice one thing.. you always speak abt religion in a negative way ! That’s not biblical .. Ik what u mean by it and I get where u come from, but when we look at James 1:27, which says “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” so religion in the Bible means to help the church and others around us 🧸 so instead, when ur saying to rebuke the spirit of religion, say false religion instead bc there is good religion but there’s also false religion which is like treating God like checking a box and prioritizing work over faith 💞✝ Jesus bless u pooks ^^
