Hey y’all ! Welcome to another Friday with CWCOI ! In this week’s episode our host, Ally Yost, speaks on the topic of rejection. As Christians, we know that Jesus himself was rejected by the world as soon as He entered it. He tells us in John 15:18 that, "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." Although we are not spared from rejection, we are also not spared from the love and grace of God. His mercy and goodness will forever triumph any rejection we will encounter on this earth.

The spirit of rejection is so real we have all felt it, ever since Adam. I was just listening to a sermon the other day where a pastor was talking about it. And he went through the entire background of Jesus and showed how they were all rejected so that Jesus could ultimately take rejection on the cross by saying what David also wrote in the psalms: “my God, my God why have you forsaken me?”

Girl this. Was right on time! Every since I moved here to nashville, .I feel like I have been rejected on every side. But my relationship with the lord has strengthened like never before! I am currently unemployed, But trusting that god has a plan for me. But I clicked on this video and I tell you when you said that this was for somebody. It was for me! Holy cow the hair dresser metaphor was really such a profound way of looking at it. That really made me stop and consider my own impatience with God because you’re right he will never be early but he will also NEVER be late. Such a word thank you my love♥️✝️

Oh Ally! Thank you for sharing that coffee experience with us. I have felt that before too, where someone is just so mean and hateful towards me for absolutely no reason. There are truly people that are irked by our very existence and our love for Jesus. The rejection stings, but we are loved and accepted by God. Thank you Jesus! We continue to be kind, share our faith and love for Jesus, and we pray for them! Never lose your light for Christ sister. God bless you Ally :)

This was really good! I have dealt with this kind of rejection and hatred. I recently spoke to a friend of mine from the same scripture where Jesus said, if they hated me, they will hate you also (paraphrased). It is a good sign we are in God's right paths and are His chosen. I also loved the analogy you gave of the spiritual war between darkness and light and how when you spend time with the Lord, you will reek of Jesus and the fragrance of Him will repel others that are in darkness. This was a good reminder of the verses that speak on how we are the fragrance of Christ but on the same token the fragrance of death to those who are perishing.

I kinda had the same incident at my coffee shop the other day… she gave me attitude and it so threw me off like it made me mad… something I struggle with is being kind and patient with rude people. I pray God gives me the strength and kindness to love these people as well ❤

Okay woah you saying God takes you back to moments in your life when you felt alone before you really knew God. He has been healing me in that exact way recently! I just cry like a baby seeing how he was there the whole time and how much he hurt knowing that we were in pain and didn’t know him yet like we do now. So crazy I got chills when you said that and described it exactly how I am experiencing it. So Wild! Isn’t it cool how God works and can heal us like that. He’s so good. 🙏🏼❤️

as a christian i have noticed some very very weird, mean and dark energy coming from certain people OUT OF NOWHERE ..without no reason..so yeah i believe it might be a dark spirit that sense our energy that we carry as a child of God

Get a hip RV take your podcast on the road. Get a hotspot that can handle your uploads. Find 30 people you admire and get on their schedule for a lunch, interview them and document it. CEO of large companies, pastors, locals. Cross country. Take 3 month trip, small towns, big cities, interview successful people and meet the locals.

I’m at 18 minutes rn, and Im just sorry you had to experience something like that. I used to work in a beauty store where the women could be feral, and they wouldn’t even acknowledge me or speak to me. It was so weird to me, and it’s definitely not a nice feeling to experience for seemingly no reason. I think you should be a stoic about it when you go back to that shop if you do go back. I’ve done it before! Maybe something good will come of it like you said!

I’m in the UK, there aren’t many towns with Christian community. Most people my age are atheist and enjoy drunken hook up culture. It’s hard because turning away from it usually means becoming quite isolated. At least I find common ground here on the internet. X

Make sure to apply Matthew 7:6, is okay to forgive but also to stay away from some people who constantly damage you, yes always be kind, and even you if you want to share the gospel. Trust that if is in God's plan he will use another person, or he will use you later

Is it just me or are all Gods people by that i mean peope who are trying to do better in the kingdom are getting so attacked to the point where i cry all the time i am drained emotionally,spiritually i am Tired and i am just 18 years old i am trying my best my family believes in ancestors i do not i feel so lost but i really do not know anymore i have had attacks for the first time i gave my life to christ i am not okay

I am right there with you. I’m nineteen and completely relate to the attacks/hardships you are facing. This world is tough. It’s rough out here. What I try to remember when I receive attacks is that living with God in this life and in the life to come is worth every single hardship. That does not make it any easier, but it brings hope which is fuel for our souls. Remember Peter on the water, in the midst of that terrible storm. Remember how Jesus was right there with him. Peter got distracted by the scariness of the storm and began to sink, but when he called out for help, Jesus saved him from drowning. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep them there as best as you can. And remember we WILL have rest. There WILL BE an end to this suffering. Just hold on. I just prayed for you, I am on your team and so is our Savior :) God be with you 🩷
