You’re just going about your village, like any other day throughout your entire life, then suddenly a mass of armed men come pouring out of the morning mist to slaughter you and your fellow villagers. Props to Conan’s people. They got caught completely off guard by a superior force of men on horseback, yet they still managed to kill half a dozen of them before being overwhelmed.

@@TheMan-je5xq And because Crom was watching over them, at least Conan. It's said that Crom doesn't answer prayers however that is untrue, he is simply a fickle god and may take away more than he gives. More than likely, losing a worshipper who'd become as influential and powerful as Conan was too much for Crom's ego, and so he granted Conan his wish for victory.

The glorious days before CGI, when everything looked real rather than a Playstation 3 cartoon. Although this movie was made cheaply, there are wonderful touches to this film - the realistic village attack, how James Earl Jones looks sad when he kills someone, in the palace battle when Conan overturns the cauldron of soup you see a few human hands in the soup, Valeris offering herself to save Conan's life, etc. A very simple film, but with wonderful touches that make this a memorable movie, BY CROM! I recommend everyone to check out ''The Magic Sword'' (1950), a Yugoslav (Serbian) fantasy movie, which starts with the village raid scene almost frame by frame identical to this one.

The original made all other fantasy movies if you think about it, most other movies before we're to censored to show awesome blood, sex, and revenge like in this movie, game of thrones the show would be very light if Conan didnt exist, lol did you know that before filming they thought about having Dustin Hoffman as Conan, but then they realized hes a little peasant compared to ARNOLD!!!!!!!!

Conans father was brave. As soon as he saw the impending attack he ran to obtain his sword, knowing full well he was likely going to die fighting but at least he would take a few of the attackers with him to the grave.

I just come hear to the listen to the music when I am stuck in the middle of completing complicated assignments. Music psych me up. Need those breaks.
