This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

I love how Monkey World practice the "Golden Rule" when it comes to individual care for their primates. Learn how the person wants to be treated and treat them that way.

I wonder how the monkeys pick or decide rankings within the group. I love Monkey World. Thank you for letting us wash all these time consuming, educational and lovely videos. For me there's nothing I love more than to curl up and watch a new video of Monkey World.

The hierarchy within a group is determined by the behaviour of the animals. Bigger, stronger, aggressive, influential individuals will be higher ranking and can dominate smaller animals, so obviously those that are less so will rank lower.

Totally admire the 'collect the wee sample' device. Just wondering if the trickle noise stimulates carer staff needs.. an incredible amount of care and patience is needed to integrate a mature monkey person into an established group. Like a new kid in school. Wonderful work is being done at the park. Well done!! Looking forward to browsing the many episodes. Cheers. ❤❤

I love the Stumpys and am ALWAYS amazed at how "small" they are. But after seeing a video about Stump Tailed Macaques and their defense of their territory????? Yikes!!! They're bloody ferocious!!!
