Epididymitis is usually a sexually transmitted infection. All men need to know about this condition as it is one of the causes of painful swelling of the testes. It is a benign condition and if treated early with antibiotics is curable with a very good outcome.
All men should examine their testicles regularly as women are supposed to examine their breasts on a regular basis. If you feel a lump in your testicle which feels out of the ordinary than you should seek help from your doctor. A simple examination of the scrotum or an ultra sound scan will clarify the nature of the swelling in the scrotum.
