Is it possible to very clearly have an umbilical hernia as well as a spigelian hernia at the same time? I can feel an intestinal ‘bunch’ in the “weak spot” indicated in the abdominal area in this video. When I flex my abs and release, there is a visible spilling out of the intestines resulting in an immediate ‘bloated-look’ and it can definitely be felt. I had my first painful strangulated episode a few nights ago when I saw all white and my ears were ringing upon waking up with a large mass spilling out of the indicated area and I thought I was near death. I went back to sleep (I know that was stupid) and when I woke up in the morning it had receded back into what I believe is an increasingly large opening. Oh and I had inguinal hernia surgery in February 2022

I’ve got the big one. From sternum to belly button. I cannot exercise in the abdomen. Sitting up pops out this “lump” the size of a loaf of bread. Lifting anything, coughing and sneezing do the same. It hurts a bit but is most uncomfortable when lying in bed on either side. The doc is not concerned at all. But any time I tighten the muscles there, pop, out he comes. I call him Bob. I’m thinking of getting s tattoo but must come up with a great idea like a long zipper with guts inside.

I had an epigastric hernia repair last February, couple of months later I was suffering again. I was sent for an ultrasound and they confirmed I still had an epigastric hernia - that was September last year and I'm still waiting for a surgeon to examine it. April this year I was told there was a 31 week waiting list, I'm still waiting 😢

Thank you Dr, for such an easy to understand explanation👍. I have had many misdiagnoses over many years before finally getting the correct one by a very thorough, new GP to my area. I finally go for open Spigelian Hernia repair next week. My latest U/sound shows it now has a wide neck. I've lost count of the number of ambulance trips to hospital due to the excruciating pain of small bowel herniating into it. I sure won't miss that pain or the morphine to dull it. Wish me luck!

I would love if there were options to try to avoid future attacks of acute cholecystitis. I had a recent attack - hospitalized with IV antibiotics etc but pain in the gallbladder was not as extreme as they expected with my infection markers. I have a gastroscopy scheduled to double check for alternate diagnoses which should shed more light, but I can't help wanting to "save" my gallbladder and avoid surgery if at all possible. Anyway, thank you for this very clear and informative video.

Thank you for a great video. I suspect my 12 year old daughter has this. I am waiting for her gastroenterologist appointment to confirm. She struggled with chronic constipation in past, but we resolved this. Now she says “I can’t eat, I wish I can, but my stomach feels like it’s twisted and I can’t swallow anything”. 😢 she has umbilical hernia when she was born… never had surgery before. It was off and on, but now she is having persistent pain and hasn’t been eating. What treatment options are there besides surgery? Can we strengthen the ligaments?

Sir My son 3.5 years old, left side retractable testicles, and the left side testicle size is very small compared to the right. Mild hydrocele too on the left side. Do we need to go for surgery for a retractile testicle. Left side small testicle than right is this issue or normal.

I don’t witness it a lot but I have noticed my son’s testicles in his scrotum from time to time when it is hot or if he has a fever. This would suggest my 3 year old has retractable testicles rather than undescended, correct?

Hi, Sir. I ve checked my testicles 2 years ago . For both of them feelt one lumps positions being similar for both: posterior to both testicles. After 2 years, seems to be same size, i was at urologist and he told me they are cysts , but seems to appear more of them to my right testicle on the epididim of it, diferent positions. Can be possible ? Those are very small

I am suffering this at the moment. Started as infection in my testes. Two weeks of oflaxicin it went away. Two months later l get scrotum pain.groin and thigh pain in my right area and penis. No uti. Being treated with Nitrfurantoin but is only keeping the symtoms at bay. Waiting to see a urologist. Some mild pain returning in the testes.
