1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour

I had to cut the interior portion a little because the car had leave at the time. but all exterior, engine, exhaust shots are just as normal, but I do give a good look at the interior and a small radio demo. In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 1987 chevrolet monte carlo ss. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

One at my church has 87 GNX with approx 1k miles on it, factory tires (Goodyear Eagle GT) all original is sitting in his garage never to be driven again, might trailer it to our car show I am the promoter and not for sale

I bought this actual car from a dealer who bought it at auction the day this video was made!!!!!!! The mileage is verified and it has a clean car fax. I'm the 3rd owner, purchased from Rockingham, NC. It has gone through a number of modifications since this vid. Entire suspension, wheels & tires, and Hooker headers with true dual exhast. Lovin this Monte SS!!!!

I'm here in 2021 thinking back. In 1986 I bought one of these right off the showroom floor for about $15,000. It did not have the tee tops, nor did it have the power windows and locks. The only difference I spot is the door decals. In 1986 it had the SS followed by Monte Carlo. Same script and color, just on one line. I ran up 180,000 plus miles before it would not pass inspection, due to rust. Best sounding car ever!!! With a 3:73 rear axle it would really lay down the smoke by just flooring it. That High output 305 made pretty good power in its day. Wish I still had one today. It was the last car built on a real frame. Steering and handling was nice.

I used to love these as a kid growing up. also loved the 80s olds hurst cutlass coupes, based off of the the same G body. though the olds had a high output olds 307. good memories, these were indeed very nice cars.

I've never been a Chevy fan, but I've got to say that this is one gorgeous machine! Down the road from me there's an SS just like this one for sale- excpet it's black, and has a t-bar roof. I want it so bad!

Wow! Nice! BTW, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Chevy's buzzer. They still use it today (I think). My Aunt's '92 Camaro has it, it's better than what other manufacturers were using at the time.

love the 80's montes I have 83 fully loaded every option PWR all, cruise, 305 was removed for 454, moonroof, in Dark Maple, Alum checker board rime, the owner ordered everything, they traded in 1978 4-4-2, the monte window sticker 7800, with 74000 in options, have showed it few times people see 14k+ for car in that era comment on it.

Sweet ride. If I had one I'd wrap it in satin-black, coat the underside with wool-fat to stop rust and put some nice rims on it... Then put a 383-stroker in it

The 305 5.0 L H.O. engine does not have much power but they do Sound great!!!

@@wannabeetiger Thanks for the info. I know that the 305's very reliable but realy more for cruisin', even the HO 305. But man, this sounds so nice for stock engine, headers & exhaust. Guess the Gas Milage is pretty good/okay with 200R Transmission. Need a 85-88 Monte Carlo SS now as Daily :) Beautiful car.

this is the car of my dreams my moms first car was a 79 monte carlo and she has bought nothing but montes ever since she has owned the 79 an 87 ss an 99 ss a 2000 ss a 2001 ls and now she owns my grandpas 2000 ls she gave me the 2001 ls as my first vehicle and i now plan on owning my own monte collection one day i only plan on a 79 ss, 87 ss, 99 ss, my 01, and an 07 ss
