History lesson... Sabaton does have their history channel on KZfaq. Simple enough Sabaton History. 82nd wasn't airborne in 1917.. "Death from above what they NOW say"

82nd became a airborne infantry during ww2. In ww1 they were known as the all American infantry

I am a British Sabaton fan, I love Sabaton they are the greatest band on the planet. I am a military history fanatic and I love and respect all military personnel from the UK and our Allies, my respect for the veterans and wounded heroes is beyond words. The military men and women who gave there lives for our freedom, democracy and sovereignty are to be remembered, respected and loved. I had family in the British Army and the Royal Air Force ( RAF). I've been to Stockholm which is my favourite City plus the welcome I received plus the friendliness shown towards me was incredible, I have very warm and happy memories of my time in Stockholm its just an amazing city. I am a Chelsea fc fan and we met IFK Stockholm fans and we became friends. What I saw of Sweden made a big impression on me and now my absolute favourite band and singer are Swedish, one day I will see my favourite band Sabaton even if it's the last thing I do. In WW1 the 82nd was an infantry division, it was not till 2 years into WW2 that the 82nd was made into an Airborne division. 💂‍♂️💂‍♂️💂‍♂️💂‍♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Sabaton made probably the only historical error that I have noticed in this song. They sing he was in the 338th but he was in the G company 328th Infantry of the 82nd Division. They later became the 82nd Airborne Division with one of the motto being "Death From Above". That is why the lyrics goes "Death From Above" is what they NOW say.

The 338th was originally designated as an infantry division..however they were redesignated as airborne in 1940 The standard response during any interaction with a higher up( officer or NCO is “ all the way “.. now it’s airborne all the way”.. however, I may not BE totally accurate..

82nd airborne division known as the AA all American Division it’s basically every person in that Division is from every state and that’s how it became all American division

There's a band (fellow countrymen of Sabaton), Amaranthe, they did a great version of this song. The most interesting thing is they have 3 singers, they sang the whole Joakim lines. You should react to it, it's a funny rendition.
