What would you do if you knew that missiles would be flying at your city everyday? That's the reality that both Israelis and Palestinians face in late 2023, in the latest phase of their never-ending conflict. Most people are wise enough not to fly to a country during an active war, but sadly that wasn't me. Like the rest of the world, I was deeply interested in the events happening in the Holy Land, and I wanted to go there myself to better understand the situation.
It's the most polarizing conflict on earth: many people absolutely hate one of the two sides and cheer on the other. I only had one agenda while filming in Israel and the Palestinian territories: to understand the people. To do that, my plan was to travel everywhere, from the skyscrapers of Tel Aviv, to the streets of Ramallah, and finally to the edge of Gaza.
This was going to be one hell of an adventure. I ask that you try to do just one thing as we travel along: keep an open mind.

I am filipino y'all probably know that filipinos are known to be foreign workers. Most of them are saying that Israel is probably the best place in the Middle East to work when it comes to salary for non blue/white collar jobs because the wage in Israel is more than 2x higher than in Arab countries. And you don't have to wear very conservative clothes, rarely to encounter abusive employer, and you'll get restday every week.

i wanna say this is existential journalism, deliverance of the being there , of the perspective of how does it feel to be there, which to me is so important in the attempt of understanding any phenomenon. this is usually where we fail, as humans, we succumb to our pre-judgments enabling them to take over as our means of perception closing ourselves from any real encounter whith any other. this video is an amazing journey of how to avoid that and enable the acute problems to float up as they are, the testimony of the soliders about their experience in gaza is starteling showing their agony and the palestinians in the most humane way possible. thank you very much

@@karualicekilian9733 Hello, I tend not to talk politics, but the outbreak of this war has forced me to recognize the reality of what you also have to live under as Israelis. The constant threat of another rocket barrage, another aimless ‘amaliyyeh’ (when a knife or gun attack happens against Israeli civilians), another air raid siren were things you were likely used to. But the repugnant war crimes committed on Simchat Torah 2023 have opened up a whole new layer of existential dread. As an Arab Muslim, I cannot bring myself to justify any of the atrocities that have been committed against your people. Excuse me for the things you have had to endure and I hope that each and every one of your kidnapped countrymen and women return home.

One sided as ever. Have you ever contemplated why Palestinians want you dead? Have you ever contemplated why Israel even exists? Ashkenazi converts to Judaism created a homeland for the most hated and greedy people on the planet because they have out stayed their welcome in almost every country they have lived in. The Ashkenazi have almost zero DNA links to the land that they welcome all Jews "back to". The real tragedy is that real Jews, religious ones, have also had to endure the labels of greedy, grasping parasites. Unsurprisingly these real Jews are largely opposed to Zionism. Before Zionism Jews, Muslims and Christians lived peacefully together in Palestine for centuries but when your neighbour steals your land and your water and puts you in a concentration camp something has to give.

As long as people are able to live in their own country (Israel) in peace, the Israeli people are the best neighbors there are. Pity there are those that try to displace and condemn them because of their animosity and unwillingness to come to a compromise. The people fighting in combat would rather sit in comfort with their respective families enjoying the land they worked so hard to build, but instead, they are the reluctant heroes who have to fight for everything they possess when all they really wish and aspire to is to live in the land of their forefathers in peace.

Palestinians too would like to enjoy the land they worked so hard to build before it was forcibly taken from them in 1948. And they would be far more willing to come to a compromise and raise their children in peace now if that option were not continually thwarted by Israeli policy.

I find the fact that the diversity culture in Israel is extremely impressive! It looks second right next to the US in terms of that. Israel sterilized Ethiopian Jews without their knowledge or consent as recently as 2013. Rights in Israel are assigned based on your nationality, not your citizenship, so if your nationality isn't Jewish you are not equal. Israel is an ethnocracy--don't be fooled just by seeing diverse people on the street.

One was an 11 year old girl. What Ruzzia is doing constitutes Genocide. Holodomor was a genocide. And it's fitting Ruzzia would save such an attack for the yearly Ukrainian remembrance of Holodomor.
