when americans realized they have someone that could possibly beat yuzuru, they started talking shit when yuzuru at this point of his career (and i think like all points of his career) is no longer competing with anyone. he's competing against himself and himself alone. everyone that's entering the figure skating scene are trying to reach his status but nah. GOAT remains the GOAT

The past four years is just bullshit. The quad-blooming era Boyang, Yuzuru, Javi... lifted was 1 billion times better.

Massimiliano Ambesi, italian commentator for eurosport, did say back in 2012, when Yuzuru got his first national title, that ISU will have to change and rewrite all their rules according to what Yuzuru can do. It's just funny how ISU want to take Yuzuru out of the sport so bad and it's not working the way they want to because people still talked and focused on Yuzuru instead of the ogm. He even piqued the interest of many viewers and gained many new fans, including me. Though, I also kinda felt sad for Nathan because his first ogm got overshadowed by Yuzuru, and would be known to casual viewers and non-fans as a "bought ogm." Since I'm a new fan, I did a research. Yuzuru seems to know when a program is underscored, even if the program is not his. I wonder if other skaters noticed and aware of the bias, unfair treatment and overscoring for specific athletes.

Before they were pitting Yuzu against Patrick Chan and Takahashi, its just a circle, later Shoma will be pitted against Nathan 😂. But in all these, YUZU will remain the GOAT. Nathan is all about jump, not art 🙄

I guess the commentators have changed their minds because now they're all about the jumps and seem to have forgotten how they used to be so in awe of Yuzu's magic.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It was just that the costume made the performance weird 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I liked the crescendo of Nathan, Benny and the Jets, he is really a great jumper and he is Chinese, so i can guess the pressure he goes through to achieve that level. His only concentration is landing clean jumps and he has done that, but u can see in the crescendo that there's a great dancer inside him, it just doesn't come out when he is all about jumping. Yuzuru on the other hand has that ability to blend the jumps into choreography and execute with style ❤️

I fully agree. Amazing. There is a video about "making SEIMEI" if you haven't seen it yet, it's a "must watch". No other skater ever put that much energy into making a program.

I absolutely agree. Objectively speaking - who can make other hearts beat like that during a skate? This is not only about skills, techniques, not only about TES and PCS, it's something beyond. I mean I'd rather spend time watching his skates (even with falls) again and again, rather then watching other man clean skates, cause I don't feel touch by other performances. About the Olympics, I used to think it was a pity he couldn't deliver the perfect performance for the Olympics, but after knowing about the injury, I was so touched. He is a fighter, and thank God he really got the 2 Olympic Gold medals he so deserves. And lastly, I know Nathan Chen is coming strong, and he has the reason to be: young, strong, can jump a lot with textbook technique, but I also believe that: 1 - Yuzuru at his best physically (as he showed in 2015-2017) is still ahead of Nathan 2 - the now Yuzuru - if he is in the zone - still can win over Nathan fair and square in term of TES and PCS, which means in competitions. I only say "can" because I acknowledge Nathan strong points (well, his Base value alone for a FS is already over 100, which is normally 10 points higher than others (including Yuzu); and in term of technique, he is improving), so Yuzu will have to be able to suppress that at least 10 points gap with decent DOE and PCS.

To me he is GOAT. We are less than a month away from the Olympics and he just won Japanese nationals with amazing skates and certainly has potential for another Olympic gold in him! ❤️⛸❤️
