Fun Little Tidbit: Akainu's real name, Sakazuki, is the name of ceremonial cups Ace,Sabo, and Luffy drank out of when they made their promise as brothers. So when Sabo heard both Sakazuki and Ace in the same sentence, it really triggered Sabo's memories.

It wasn’t Ace’s name it was the picture. When a member of the army tries to mention Ace by name Sabo actually finished his sentence so it definitely pulled at his memory a touch. But the newspaper had a picture of Ace and that’s probably what did it

@@FrancisR420 Well did luffy follow garp tho? no right there was a theory before that the reason why he was there in logue town is to recruit luffy as part of RA, but then luffy said he wanted to become pirates king, that explain maybe why dragon said " if that is what you want then go" (non-verbatim). Also theirs nothing wrong being marine, Dragon doesn't exactly oppose the marine, he oppose the WG system, , if he was angry to marine then he already used the advantage during marineford arc to his narrative and team up to Whitebeard, but no he didn't, he was clearly against the WG and choose reverie to declare war to them.

Sabo's awesome. And I love his dynamic with Koala. I like to think that even though romance isn't an element Oda focuses on much, he's not like AGAINST it and maybe he threw in enough with Sabo and Koala that he didn't really have to go into it, but people could tell there's a relationship. But that might just be overthinking it. Also, Oda please expand on Robin's time with the army, more specifically with Sabo and Koala. (Dragon stuff would be awesome too, of course, but I expect that to be more end game-y. Or at least whenever the Straw Hats learn of the Army declaring war). I'm hoping that the reason he hasn't is Robin has some really badass technique that she hasn't shown yet and Oda's saving flashbacks for when he reveals that, but that might be more wishful thinking.

Sabo is probably yonkou commander level especially after getting the mera mera fruit. i think he could fight doflamingo 1v1 and since he doesn't rely on a timer he would have done better than luffy did.

We all know Goda could write a very good romance story/subplot in One Piece. C'mon now, remember the story of Senor Pink and his deceased wife? You can't get much more romantic than that, it still breaks my heart whenever I think about it, goddammit Oda....

Erick Ross He himself said he is not very good a writing romance, Wich is why there is basically none in One piece, About senor pink, it was ok but not great, even still, he probably Wouldn't be able to sustain a long term romance subplot, it's a lot harder to do well than most people think.

And you actually believe Oda can't write a good romance? I know he said it himself, but I also know how Oda doesn't always answer questions seriously, you can see it in SBS. The Senor Pink story just a small indication that Oda could write romance if he wanted to. In this case, I think it's a matter of preference, Oda just doesn't wanna include a romance between the main cast (for whatever reason). I personally don't think romance would ruin the story, Naruto, Yu Yu Hakusho, even Dragon Ball had it, much shonen manga has it. It won't suddenly turn One Piece into a shoujo manga. I'm just saying that Oda could add a little more romance into One Piece story if he wanted to, but I also don't mind if he doesn't fancy it, I've been an avid One Piece reader for a very long time, and I never bothered whether there was romance within the storyline or not.

Erick Ross honestly, yes, if he thought he could make it at the same quality as everything else, he would have already put some in, not necessarily within the main cast, Senor pink was just a one off thing, it wasn't even that great, good, but not great, but even then, writing an ongoing relationship is completely different from showing a flashback or something cool, also, hahaha, Naruto and Dragonball had romance? Are you real? I mean I kinda can give Yu Yu Hakusho a pass since there was some focus on it here and there and actually gradually progressed, but the other two, no man, just no, having characters just suddenly fall for each other or obsess about someone is not romance, the closest thing there is to it in both is Hinata's devotion to Naruto, but that's about it.

Sabo is a master at Haki & highly intelligent. A genius at hand to hand combat. He never had a DF till now. He defeated a Yonko Commander with ease. He even fought on equal terms with a Admiral. They showed a glimpse of him fighting GreenBull too. Sabo is definitely Admiral lvl & stronger than Luffy. Luffy might be stronger after the Wano Arc.

7:00 To be fair now that you think about it, unless one of the crew mates ask or are undergoing a character arc, none of the crew mates really share much about their history to anyone: Zoro never mentioned that he used to go around beating up dojos, Nami didn't really talk about her family to the crew, Ussop didn't talk much about his famil.. oh wait😂😂😂, jokes aside, etc etc

I always thought it was strange how Sabo is the second in command and an infamous member of the RA, but Ace never found out about him. Maybe it’ll be explained and it’s not the biggest deal, but it’s something I thought was strange.

most of the recent arcs despite their length in chapters didn't take up much time in the story being only 2 or 3 days at most. do you think its possible that Wano might take place over a longer period of time in the story (like 3 or 4 weeks) so that once the arc ends and the straw hats leave Wano that they will be able to see the effects of what the Revolutionary army/ the World Governments Great Cleansing have done to most of the world.

About Sabo's Mera Mera no mi being able to burn the strings from Doflamingo's Ito Ito no mi, I think Doflamingo's strings would be immune or at the very least highly resistant to fire, because he has that attack where he does set his strings on fire and they don't burn away. That my option on it what do you guys think?

Well to be fair, he never tried to use his foxfire move against the birdcage. He just used his swords with haki to try to push it back. Maybe if he tried it would have worked.

Birdcage doesn’t care about power scaling. It was a plot device to make dressrosa seem more dire than it actually was. Bird cage and Sugar made dressrosa one of the laziest written OP Arc.

Sabo has to be around admiral level, since he’s the 2nd in command of the revolutionaries, one of the three main factions, and since just one person can’t carry a faction to be one of the three, so yeah sabo would have to be at least admiral level, if not yonkou commander, so yeah he’s wayyy stronger than doffy

Ukato admiral are higher level than yonko commander, but the strength difference depends on the commander since I think all admirals are of relative strength

The Revolutionary Army is cooler than the Whitebeard Pirates to begin with and Sabos claw abilities are more unique than Aces fire specialized ones imo. The reveal that he was still alive was one of the best parts since the timeskip.

Amazing video as always. I’m not all the way through yet at the time of this comment, but going back to Sabo’s time with Ace and Luffy, you missed a couple of things: 1- Sabo had met Dragon at one point before leaving, when the gray terminal was being set on fire and Sabo was desperately trying to save Ace and Luffy. 2- The celestial dragon shot down Sabo, not mainly because of the pirate flag, but because Sabo didn’t bow down

i think its more of hes dragon's assistant not that he like outranks the commanders. i only say that because i dont think sabo whose only in his early 20's outranks commanders. Like why wouldn't he be a commander or given a different title other than chief of staff. i could be wrong but i think it would just be kind of weird that he outranks basically everybody except dragon.

@@user-er1ue6ui8d i can agree with the next generation statement but it just seems weird for him to be second in command of the entire revolutionary army at only 20 something when im sure characters like Hack and Ivankov have been members longer, at least logically speaking. I feel like hes more of an apprentice to dragon, maybe even being groomed to take his place should something happen to him but i dont see him in a leadership role like that at least right now.
