There are no truly weak Devil Fruits. Only unimaginative or stupid users. An idiot with, say, Blackbeard's fruit might only think of throwing darkness at other people or making the room dark. Which, compared to how Blackbeard uses it, is kind of lame. Someone with no medical background who eats Law's fruit wouldn't be nearly as powerful as Law. Most people don't look at abilities like Katakuri's or Perospero's(because Big Mom hoarded food abilities for some reason...) and think, "With this Devil Fruit I can become one of the most feared pirates in the New World!" An obsessive cloth weaver with Doflamingo's fruit would probably just use the ability to never have to buy more string.

Kin'emon's fruit might actually be the strongest fruit in existence. Imagine if you could create plot armor, and put it on, so you would become invincible.

I feel like the Mato Mato no Mi isn’t that bad. An individual can specialize in like speed (to touch the target) and really strong throws. Also it can be used to track people, throw a little dust or something little so the target doesn’t know he’s being followed. Perhaps more adept users can have a target for each finger, or even more adept users can have no limit at all. Also control when to activate the ability, so he can wash his hands.

The Glare Glare Fruit is even more powerful than just that tear attack Viola does, but it just hasn't been used smartly yet. If you gave that to someone like who is physically strong. Possible with the CP9 powers and/or haki then they could be unstoppable. Here is why, the fruit lets you see in peoples bodies. You can see peoples bones, organs and weaknesses that they might not even know about. Take Whitebeard for example. Someone with the Glare Glare fruit could take one look at him at Marineford and see his innards were a mess and target those areas. Maybe Shanks has an old fracture on his knee that is party healed, but he thinks is fine since it hasn't given him trouble in years. The Glare person could see the weak point and attack it till it breaks once again. There are countless little issues that could be forming under someone's skin that might not effect them for years that a Glare Glare user could exploit if they are smart. Oh hell. XD Give that to Katakuri with his future vision and it would be game over.

Ehhm, Tekking, you know that Dekkens targetting only works on living beings? Touching a pen doesn't mark it as a target, it's not alive. That's sort of common sense.

So, imagine that. Chopper discovers a way that you can eat 2 Devil Fruits and still be alive. The Strawhats find the Mato Mato no Mi. Robin Eats it. Infinite targets, and she could mark the targets from a safe distance. She awakens the Mato Mato no Mi. The awakening makes so she is guaranteed to hit her targets. Robin is the new Pirate Queen.

Slight flaw with your analysis of the Mato Mato no mi; similar to Shiki's Fuwa Fuwa no mi, which can only affect inanimate objects(not counting Shiki himself), the Mato Mato no mi has a caveat to its power in that it can only mark living creatures as targets, hence why whatever he throws doesn't target itself, the glove doesn't negate his mark on Shirahoshi, and why he's never shown cheating at games that require him to strike a specific target, like darts.

I think the Yome Yome no Mi is the worst because while Brook's exceptional case lead to some cool abilities, I always assumed that for the average person it would just immediately send them back to their normal body, where they could just be killed again. Brook spent at least a few years as just a soul (at least enough for his body to decompose) and got attuned to controlling his soul but i think the average person wouldn't get that. Meaning you would just come back as a normal human who still cant swim but now you die like normal. Not to mention if you died in a bad situation or from old age you may just die immediately again

I feel the Axolotl zoan devil fruit (Simely’s fruit) often gets over look for the weakest fruit. You have to breathe water wether your in hybrid mode or full beast meaning you can’t use the fruit on land. The only perk is you’ll never drown and somebody can find you before you starve to death

vander decken's fruit on a armament haki master can be op. they can shoot haki coated projectiles/bullets across the globe(assuming that limitations are gone with awakening, including marking the target with touch). imagine mihawk with that fruit while in his castle throwing his strongest sword blast that will hunt you wherever you are. as for belo betty's fruit, what if she can use it on herself? that'd be excellent for combat.

The Mato Mato is probably amazing for assasination if you can cover your identity. Walking toward the street, someone touched you hand. Don't think about out it. 2 days later, a battleship is flying towards you, or a meteorite. It's also great for tracking. Like you touch a pirate, let him join his crew and you can keep track of him regardless he is in the world.

Oda said that a human eating the Human Human fruit becomes "enlightened" Well, let's translate that. Enlightenment can be translated in a sense to having a better sense of one's self, so maybe that gives the individual that eats in instant access to at least two types of Haki since most people never develop the ability to use it. Further, what if you gain instant access to having the fruit be "Awakened" so you become the peak physical version of whatever that species is. And you're now a total badass. Enlightenment can be translated to Wisdom, so perhaps gaining the ability to understand and be understood by any animal (sorta like the Whisper Whisper fruit)

Hey tekking, new guy on the block and I know this is not related to this vid but what about a what if where you jump into one piece and can join the strawhats (or any crew) but think of it like Oda put you in and you have a fighting chance, and I know you'll make it as realistic as possible (i mean it's just an idea) plus you can cover almost up to date one piece with who ever you are with in the story. nice video, forgive if you mentioned this and i didnt hear it but, another fruit that is just about worthless in combat but one that would be good in like an assassination like you mentioned earlier, the Mane Mane no Mi, could be a good choice because all it does is change your appearence, it doesnt change your fighting ability or anything like that, but would be perfect for an infiltration mission like to break into Impel Down or to help break out.

Tekking you forgot to mention Strussen’s fruit in terms of basically no combat ability whatsoever. All he can do is turn inanimate objects into food which has limitations of its own + no direct combat ability we’ve seen or I can think of.

I believe we can explain Decken's conundrum of "Must never touch anything else ever again to avoid overwriting Shirahoshi as my target" thing. 1. The target can only be a living being, so touching inanimate objects with his hands, such as the things he throws or the glove doesn't overwrite the former target. 2. He has to consciously designate the target. Its not automatic whenever he touches a person/thing, but he chose to wear a glove as a reminder that his right hand is reserved for Shirahoshi to avoid overwriting it in the heat of the moment. Decken ain't exactly the brightest lamb in the shed, and might had rightly feared he'd use his right hand accidentally while fighting. Remember he was a pirate, so fighting must have been commonplace to him. Kinemon's fruit ain't all that useful to Kinemon, but a master spy/assassin with better imagination might be able to use it to great effect. Its an instant disguise after all. And I can't imagine a realistic setting where you couldn't find a small object to put on your head. Most of the time you'd carry several such items with you anyway, but just think about it. How often is a person NOT within reaching distance of a suitably small object to put on one's head? And did I mention the power of imagination is at play here? Falling from a great height? Conjure a wingsuit. Being doused in flames? Ininflammable jacket is your best friend. Freaking Kizaru is shooting lasers at you? Mirror Armor. Enel showed up? Insulated Armor. Gangstino throwing his newest laughably ineffective poison gas at you? Hazmat suit. Need a broken super power out of your ass? Put on Doctor's Strange Cloak! Can a Gundam be qualified as clothing? How about Tony Stark's armor? Since the Jacket Jacket fruit is a thing, a person can technically be clothing! Also, if you're a sexy woman, you can knock out Sanji with an impossibly sexy dress! But most important of all : YOU NEVER HAVE TO DO LAUNDRY EVER AGAIN!

I feel like Vander Decken’s fruit would be insane in the right hands, imagine if it was in the hands of someone who specializes in knives, so knife fighting as well as throwing knives, and who also happened to have armament, that would be insane, they could mark the person they are fighting since they would be in close, then start armoring up their knives and throwing them while also fighting with other knives, then the thrown armament knives would keep flying around till they hit something

Haven't watched the video cause don't have time atm but Vander Deckons fruit was by no means weak. Imagine casually touching someone and then walking into a shipyard touching the ships and the ships just start flying to said person. Not only will that person be dead but that city would be fucked with ships raining down from the sky

I really think Kin’emon has the nine tailed fox mythical zoan.(inu inu no mi mode:kitsune) The Kitsune has the ability to take on disguises by putting a leaf on its head, and of course, Kin'emon can do the same thing. As we all know, Kin'emon can cut fire, and perhaps this ability comes from the Kitsune devil fruit. Any thoughts?

Tekking The Calm Calm fruit is not great for 1 on 1 fight but it’s actually amazing from a group battles. Imagine if the Straw Hats had it at Tot Land. It would not allow your enemies to coordinate and especially if you can target it on people, it causes pure chaos. Applications make the fruits like you said.

There might be some application for the Jacket fruit in a fight. here's an example oh no! he's gonna punch me in the face.. lemme turn my head and just my head into a jacket. ha! dat guy punched a jacket, wat a dork.. partial jacket transformation can be very useful.. too bad we only saw the full transformation. also, you can slowly trap your opponent into wearing you. like this lemme punch this oncoming fist, sike! he punched the sleeves, since he's technically wearing the jacket.. so i can control his hand.. this might be the awakening, partial control.. but coulf be useful

I would say that if a human would to eat Chopper's fruit, it might have the same effect, as to say, people can boost themselves in the way Chopper can, that is to say, Chopper gets stronger with Arm Point, people can make themselves stronger, with Brain Point, they get smarter, with Jump Point, they can jump really high and the awakening would probably be Monster Point, making them massive

The mato mato nomi (I think that's the spelling) could be used for something pretty amazing and valuable in the one piece world flying machines and not just any but really effective ones too this could work in 2 ways either making a sky island your target so ships anything else would just fly there and you could use that island as like a starting point to glide down from or the better one in my opinion targeting a bird or some other flying creature or object and throw your vehicle at it maybe if the fruit works with a slingshot you could travel at ridiculous speeds through the sky honestly this use for the devil fruit is ridiculous overpowered in this context as flight is absolutely broken in the story because the ocean is so treacherous

Re Cheer: if you could affect how it effects people, you could screw with their confidence. maybe lover morale. For Rust, the thing I'm thinking about is that rust is essentially oxidation. Such as combustion. Or glucose burning. Acid are also kinda oxidizers in some scenarios, so maybe the user can force water te seperate into acids and bases and toss it at someone.
