Justin’s idea is brilliant. Having two houses connected would be so much easier for Sabre, she would still get privacy as there would be a lot of room. Also, having Flizzy there too would be perfect. If the Norris Nuts needed to be looked after for awhile (if Brooke and Justin wanted to spend time alone) they wouldn’t need to travel all the way back to Flizzy. ❤

No, the new idea only benefits Sabre. The others have to wait even longer now again for their own room because by the time a second house is fully finished, another year would have gone by. It solves absolutely nothing because in that year Sabre will still need to sleep in the attic or share to wait for the house to finish. That’s the same thing as waiting for the apartment to finish right now. Now that the wait is probably longer, Sabre has nothing to worry about because she will be able to continue to living her perfect little life at Flizzy’s house with her own bedroom and bathroom and have 0 worries about having to 1 room and have 0 privacy. The other who have been waiting forever and who have nowhere to go like Sabre for some privacy have to keep sharing longer now and have 0 privacy because of Her, because she changed her mind AGAIN. Everything really is always about Sabre. They only care about Sabre’s happiness. The others can rot waiting even longer now because they are not taken into consideration AGAIN

I feel for Sabre. She needs her independence because even if she has her own house, I can see Brooke watching her every move because she’s afraid to let her eldest go.. the other kids will want to hang out whenever/wherever which is why she wanted to move further away in the first place. She’s been made to feel like she can’t enjoy freedom and is being pulled back to make others feel comfortable. By having Sabre so close, she can still be the babysitter when needed. Let the woman spread her wings..

Fully agree. Notice that they never even offered saber the option of finding a new apartment. Both options they gave her involved them being either next door or living together. Very sad. I feel like she doesn't even have a best friend

I agree but have you seen how she acts? I don't think Sabre is mentally mature enough yet. She still acts like a teen. Which isn't her fault but yeah. It's like she went straight from being a preteen to an adult and I honestly don't think it would go well.

i completely disagree with the first part of this particularly because most people move out in their 20s, she definitely needs her independence but she could also have that in a different house & Brooke has already sort of let her go a little bit, just because she expects Sabre to want to be close to the family doesn't mean she doesn't think Sabre can live independently.

I think all the nn, especially sabre, need to start thinking through their ideas more. this is like the 3rd house where they've decided that they can find a better house or that the house they bought is 'too much work'. Sabre was so set on her apartment and she 'loved it', and now all of a sudden she realises she has downstairs neighbours? Like maybe think that through before buying it.

Surely as parents it's your job to provide your kids with stability. This means thinking through big life decisions thoroughly before committing to a plan and then following through with it. These parents seem to be very impulsive, quickly coming up with a plan, telling all the kids and getting them excited, investing a lot into it, then suddenly changing it. I think that must be difficult to live with and quite destabilising.

ikr, like they've been saying they're going to move for YEARS. No moving or any progress has been made besides buying, getting half way through Reno's and selling, just to go buy again. They've probably lost so much money by doing it to. It was nice seeing someone in that family actually stop for a moment and think instead of jumping on an idea immediately. Moving and buying property is a big process and choice and its clear that the reason why this whole moving thing for them isn't working out is because they're not being patient and the second they see a house that's somewhat suitable they just jump on it. Not the way to go about It at all.

While it looks like you've found a possible solution, assuming you can get both houses, I'm in agreement with a lot of the comments here; pick something and stick with it. You've been on the verge of moving for years, which is stressful (Sabre even mentioned that she held off on dating because of the upcoming move). And when you make a decision, the kids start to come up with and get attached to plans (joining a specific club, making friends, etc), only to have that thrown into uncertainty. It feels like a lot of unnecessary drama. Maybe talk to your kids (especially the adult and nearer adult ones) before you massively overhaul their life plans again. Good luck with the new plan. It would be nice to see the move actually happen, and to see Sabre have her own space (which she is clearly craving).

Honestly, I don't know if I can even wait for the move to the Bondi House. I feel like the cycle is going again with them finding a house and then they can't move into it. I can feel Biggy and Sockie's frustration and I feel frustrated too. I also think they didn’t really take Sockie and Biggy’s frustration and opinion into consideration and just said a quick sorry before moving on.

Am I really surprised this has happened AGAIN? No. "We're just an average family". The average Australian family is dealing with the cost-of-living crisis; not having the money to buy and sell houses just because of a change of mind.

Yeah it's annoying now. The average family act and the way they're sometimes ungrateful about stuff. The amount of time they've spent arguing about rooms in a mansion and which kid is going to get their own en suite! And now it turns out that instead of learning to be grateful for what you've been offered they're just going to buy the mansion next door too. Most people can't afford to get anywhere near Bondi let alone buy two mansions! And they've been complaining about the move taking so long but it's only because they want to do massive re-designs. Sabre could've moved into her apartment weeks ago but they wanted a full re-model. Seems weird to complain about having to live in a smaller room for a year when the reason it's taking a year is because you've ordered building works!

especially with the housing crisis here in australia. your average house costs anywhere between 600k and 1mil, youre probably looking at around 3mil each for both the houses in bondi

It’s been 4 years waiting for their dream house to be ready (first one was in Queensland) so what’s a few more months. 🤦‍♀️ I didn’t r think it was possible to drag your move out even further but here we are. Would have been smart to just buy land and build what you want. Would have been finished by now, but I guess you wouldn’t have any fights about rooms to post anymore

Justins idea to buy the neighbouring house sounds like the perfect solutions. Flizzy could move over and Sabre could stay with Flizz in the 2nd house once the Norris Nuts home 2.0 is finished being renovated. So happy for the Norris Nuts family. They deserve this and have worked so hard to get where they are. Thankful that they are sharing this journey with us.

Everything keeps constantly switching. I think it’s time to stick to one decision and go with it. Especially, with that house already being worked on just keep the plan. And kids being involved is great, but sometimes certain decisions should be discussed and made by the adults. Something feels off. How can Sabers apartment get a big offer when it's not even up for sale? And how is it that conveniently the house right next door to their home in Bondi is up for sale?? It just seems like a plot to keep sabre close.. notice that the options that were given to her didn't even involve her finding another apartment.. they keep delaying any sort of action that would make the kids have some independence. Look at all these unnecessary renovations for the apartment there was nothing wrong with it.

I can agree and disagree with you. Give Sabre a break, she's at a point in life where she's just trying to navigate adult hood and it's never easy when parents don't help during that time either. If Sabre wants to move out she should've gotten her own job and saved for her own place instead of her parents buying her one. Hope you can see where im coming from. But I can completely agree with the whole indecisiveness of the family. They've been talking about moving for over a year and all they're doing is buying property, getting half way through Reno's then selling again. They're losing more money than their spending giving the Australian housing situation at the moment and the fact that they're probably spending close to a mil on a property in Bondi only to tear most of it out for Reno's and sell it when Reno's aren't even finished, so much money being lost.

This is taking forever, 4 years of hyping about buying houses, selling them, renovations. Just move already. The renovation of the bondi house has been taking place for about a year now and still going… I get the frustration that Sabre has and wants to move quickly

I love the idea of buying the house next door. There’s a lot of possibilities there. I think sabre should get her own ‘apartment’ within the house. Including her own bathroom, living room space, and small kitchen. There should also be the same for flizzy (so she can come visit regularly). Other decisions come down to how much responsibility and independence you’re willing to give the other kids. I think the best idea would be to keep the current arrangements for the house you’ve already bought (sockie gets attic room, & biggy/Naz decide who gets the ensuite, maybe even building another ensuite taking space from the social area if that’s possible). But turn the house next door into a social space, with an apartment for sabre (and guest room/apartment for fliz). This could include a big living room for the kids to take friends, maybe a game room, spaces to film videos, a gym/dance studio, a music room, maybe a crafts room (for painting, clay work etc). This way the youngest 5 kids can still live right with their parents, but will have more space to go outside of their bedroom. Sabre will get the independence she wants, but without having to worry about being away from her family.

@@emma-qz4tj their new house is really big. It has 5 bedrooms (including 2 en-suites), a laundry room, 2 living room spaces, a big kitchen and more. (They’re just a big family so it doesn’t sound like a lot of space). I might be wrong but I assumed one floor would be enough for 2 mini apartments (considering that in the house they already have 1 floor was big enough for 4 decent sized bedrooms, a bathroom, and a large living room space).

This change was done because Brooke wanted sabre to be close. There's plenty of options, like getting another apartment and not renovating it, which only delays the personal space sabre and teenagers need. I really hope sabre gets to be in Bondi in her own space and privacy.

I agree. I really feel this is happening because Brooke is not comfortable not having her kids close to her so she created all of this to make saber either before still live with her in a big giant house or live next door to her if she wants to stay in Bondi. If Sabre wants to move out/move to Bondi she can just do it like a normal 18/19/20 year old, & maybe do the housemate thing with other peers her age etc... It seems like I have an unpopular opinion based on the comments, but I don't get why she's still babied as much as she is? She can make her own decisions, she's an adult now...
