It's finally here: Our Sacramento House Tour! Take a look at what a million dollar home in Sacramento looks like.
In this video, we let you into our personal life and show you our minimalistic farmhouse-style home. The home is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom townhouse with an in-law suite, two-car garage, and a rooftop patio.
We purchased this house in 2018 for $697k. Since then, the house has appreciated by over $300k. The Sacramento real estate market has been insane these last few years!
And, with Sacramento topping off at #4 if the most competitive cities for buyers, it's no wonder first time home buyers are getting outbid by cash offer after cash offer.
When we first bought our home here in the Land Park/Curtis Park area we never imagined it appreciating to 1 million dollars in just 3 years, but here we are. And we do not plan. To sell it any time soon.

@@NursesToRiches We just recently bought a home too, has three stories and can’t quite see the fireworks because our city has a restriction, much smaller to yours and it has no roof access. I’d love to have a roof like yours, but we do have a bunch of solar panels. Is your roof hard to maintain?

Hi, Thanks for the comment. The main reason why we bought in Sacramento is because it was the closest city to where we could at least not feel so homesick after moving from NYC. Although, we still miss living NYC way too much.

That year Monica made $190k and I made $160k. Monica is on track to make over $200k this year. I'm an ED nurse, she's a Tele nurse. We are not travel nurses.

Is that salary an annual net pay or gross pay from your regular job? And is this is also just a regular 36hr/ wk or with OT? And about the house costs in Cali, what is the cheapest house price there now that you think a starter will be able to afford. We dont have children yet. Combined. But that's only because we don't like to overwork ourselves. This year I only worked 20 hours per week, while Monica worked under 36 hours per week.

So I don't know if you guys know this but you bought your house on a contaminated ground do you still have trains their way back in the sixties seventies and train River Elkhart area for trains don't let oil I watch and build that area and to me they did not dig down deep enough to remove olive oil and other products that the train dropped off so sanx 40 years everybody that lives there who have cancer

Yeah, it's kind of settled down now. Most recent estimate is at 932k. So, $234,500+ in 3 years.

Yeah... a million dollar house is just an average house in Sacramento, CA. There's nothing a "whooo aaah" to see. Mine's a $650k: 2k sqft, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 garage, and a 9k sqft on the land. It's nothing. If you buy something like Las Vegas (NV) or Texas, or Minnesota, etc., a MILLION home would be very very beautiful (i.e., 6 to 10 bedrooms, 4 to 6 bath, 2 to 4 family rooms, basement, and 10 to 50 acres. So .. 🤭

True but everyone's moving to those states too and driving up the prices there. Soon enough the homes there are going to be just as expensive as the homes out here.
